Yeah I hear more about Dr Sobeh. Does he "burn" an internal vein without it's removal? This is a technic they are using in Europe and I was wondering if he practices it as well. And what is his procedure for superficial veins?

I think Dr Sobe is the only one doing laser for varicose veins. I know a few that used him and all happy with the result. Thnx! do you have his contact by chance?

My hubby saw a doctor at city hospital - I believe he's top in varicose veins (he is there only 1 day a week). Can't remember his name, sorry, but he got referred to him via one of the GP's there Dear LovelyLilies, would you be able to ask your husband for his name please? I am new in Dubai and do not know my way around yet :)

My dear friend who lives in Ireland had a new procedure called Veinous Closed. She said it's the best one. No anaesthetic and done as a day procedure. It burns the vein out completely so less likely to come back. She had the regular removal done in 2002 and it came back. Laser she said good if it's a superficial one but surgery is required for varicose Good luck Thanks lots! I do need a surgery idd. I think this is what my doctors in Europe meant we well. they called it a laser treatment but I understood that they burn a piece in the upper leg (in my case) and then remove the superficial ones piece by piece. Yeah does not sound very attractive, I know! I just hope there is a specialist in Dubai who uses the same technic...

Dear ladies, you will see more of my posts with lots of different questions as we have just moved to Dubai and I need to build up my network, thanks in advance for your patience :) I am looking for a dentist who could do a good cosmetic job (a piece of my front tooth has broken off, not a great picture!!). It has been done before in Europe but everything has it's expiry date :) Thnx! Hi, Maichka. I would highly recommend Dr Chris Johansson at Dr Michaels, on Al wasl road. He is a real perfectionist, after having my teeth bleached he redid my two front crowns and built up some of my chipped teeth with just filling. Other dentist told me for the chips I need veneers so we very happy to get away with only having fillings. My kids love him too. Good luck :-) Thank you so much for this! x

Ladies, do you have experience with summer camps this season? We are a European family with a 10 years old daughter who is very social and likes art, drama, cooking etc.. Do you think a Holiday Camp at Repton would be a good option for her? Where would the most expat children of her age go to?

Absolutely, Sophie27! Just checked their website, looks really good! Which stylist would you recommend, or do you go to Maria? So I need a good cut and a colour, who will be my stylist? I think I will also do a hair treatment, just a full package to get that feel good feeling :) Thanks again!

I would assume one hairdresser is better with long, heavy hair, while another - with fussy and curly.. I need a neck-lenght classic cut with some Natural high- and lowlights.. Which stylist' specialty would it be, ladies? It is not easy to be new in the city and go through try - outs :( Thank you for your advice!

Many thanks, ladies! Being new in Dubai needs knowing some basic insides :) celticcavegirl, I have seen your comment on another similar post, you mentioned Pace et Luce at Shangri La as the best place, but it is not listed on their website.. sorry , just a bit confused.. Also, do you have a recommendation for a stylist?
