Hi Laxmi Congratulations on your pregnancy.. I do recommend Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh as a gyne/obs doctor as she is very professional and you will surely feel at ease with her. As you are still on your early pregnancy, you need a lot of time and care. You can try and visit her in her clinic at Healthcare City, she doesnt rush through patient's appointments. Let us know your experience afterwards. XO

Hey TIA, I dont have much info abt Dr Britt as to write a review abt her. But I can recommend an obstetrician of mine, Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh. She used to be the HOD in City Hospital. She also delivers at Mediclinic City Hospital at the moment, but sees patients in her own clinic in DHCC. They offer the best antenatal packages, which include everything like major scans and lab tests. Mediclinic is the best hospital I can recommend when it comes to deliveries, whether it could be Normal or C-section. All the best to you my dear! bye:

Most important thing with pregnancy is that you have to be comfortable with your obstetrician. By then everything else will follow smoothly. You can ask her about anything, and you should be satisfied and well informed since it is your first time. If your insurance covers packages, you can try and visit Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh at Dubai Healthcare City, see how she is then decide. She has a very lovely clinic.

For exclusive antenatal classes, you can visit Babies and Beyond ' website and book with them if want to. Or try to call and book at Mediclinic City Hospital, am not sure though if they still offer it for free on weekends.

Hi Ladies i've just found out i'm pregnant, its very early days. i'm really confused about my insurance policy and the process (i'm from the UK where we had the good old NHS) could anyone help with what i should do? do i choose a doctor from the insurance list and then go? how do i know which is a good doctor and/or clinic/hospital? any suggestions gratefully received since i'm struggling to know what to do Thanks so much! Hi there Diorgirl123 Congratulations on your pregnancy! In Dubai, you have lots of choices, unlike NHS. You can select any doctor with whom you feel comfortable with. My obstetrician was Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh who has now her own private clinic, Nisa Well Woman Clinic, you can go on their website and see their packages, if you have any issues with insurances. There are other hospitals also like American Hosp and Al Zahra Hosp, you just need to check whether your insurance covers it. Main thing for you is first,to find the best obstetrician with whom you feel comfortable, and check which hospitals she can do your delivery. Mediclinic City Hospital is one of the best and safest hospital with good midwives.

Its probably just peer pressure in his part. You know how teens are today, they're most concerned of their skin color and stuff. just show him your support, and talk to him casually, like a teenage friend as well. I agree with Ms Judea!

Hi - I am pregnant with #2 and looking for recommendations on Dubai based OBGYN's that are supportive of and have lots of experience with VBAC's. I am a high risk pregnancy with gestational diabetes and baby#1 was in the US where they induced at 40 weeks because of concern on placenta aging due to the diabetes. Needless to say the birthing experience was terrible, I had a crash C and my baby ended up in the NICU. I really want to try and this one the good old fashioned way. Thank you for Dr Recommendations! Hi there Dhaarma There are lot of things to consider especially you are at high risk at the moment. you really need a good doctor who supports what you decide yet inform you of the risks and benefits. Dr Aziz Shaikh is a pro when it comes to high risk pregnancies. You will know the moment you meet with her.. So, im saying you should try.... and let us know! She does her deliveries at City Hospital by the way. All the best with your pregnancy dear..

Hello, I need help. I was 8 weeks pregnant and my baby's heart beat has stopped. I went to aster and dr has asked me for a dnc while dr in latifa hospital has asked me to wait till i bleed naturally. I dont want to go for dnc but bleeding hasnt started. Any natural remedies for bleeding flow??? Am very sorry for your loss Sarsaif. Both doctors have advised correctly, but they should also mention the risks accompanied by these options. It could be more depressing to carry a baby with no heartbeat, thinking and waiting what happens next. You can wait for maybe couple of weeks for the natural bleeding, but longer than that could be more risky, you can even develop an infection. It would still be best to monitor you while waiting....

please give me some christmas gift ideas for kids and adults and family as a whole. what are the traditional christmas gifts? Well i was just thinking since I would love this as a gift.... A hotel room package for the family!! Like a voucher type... or think of something they would not forget... And why am I being so sentimental here! Lol.. Anyway, i usually get the kids something they can use as group, its a way of getting them play together... you know! For adults, its really broad, and that would depend on the person... Adults are more complicated arent they

Ladies, i need your advice on a good doctor to perform this procedure (supposedly simple but under general anasthesea). I am seeing dr Ghazala at Welcare for routine check up but worried whether or not she'z the right doctor for a procedure.... Hi mnmz :) I am not sure if Hysterectomy is the suitable procedure for polyp removal. But I have heard there are lots of alternatives, less invasive, yet you can be under general anesthesia as you like. Try searching for Hysteroscopy and polypectomy, or you can even go for laparoscopic procedure. If still in doubt, try consulting with a good gynecologist who can explain the needed procedure to you, then decide. Try searching for Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh, shes got good reviews online. And she does her surgeries at Mediclinic City Hospital. All the best to you!

We plan to leave Dubai, we wonder how we should sell some of our stuff. Is it only via dubizzle or did some one has experience with 'cashconverter'? Hi Schnuppi, you should try visiting to Shedd online, I have tried selling some of my preloved items there. Works perfectly fine ;)

Hello ladies! I am now 28 weeks pregnant and have been going to Al Zahra Hospital - Dubai for my appointments. As my doctor does not do deliveries she has recommended an OB that sits in Mediclinic Dubai Mall. Does anyone have any idea how much it costs for a consultation review with an OBGYN doctor (without insurance)??? I know that at Al Zahra Hospital - they take about AED 545.00 (no maternity insurance) Any idea if it's more or less than this amount?? Help would be appreciated. :) Hi skflp23 If you don't have any insurance you can opt for antenatal package available either in hospitals or clinics. I can recommend Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh, she will see you in her private clinic but she does her deliveries at Mediclinic City Hospital. You can try to ask queries from her and compare amounts as you go. Good luck! XOXO

Search for a list of specialists at City Hospital. They're highly suggested. I used to consult with Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh, but i heard she has moved to her own private clinic, not very far from City Hosp.

Thanks for the reply dear ....I have gone through all the blood test all test are normal ...only i have cyst problem and DH test is also fine ...i am doing this pillow stuff alsoo.... I went to fertility specialist also he straight away said go for ivf ....Why there is no medicine for ovarian cyst cure ...these drs dont tell also why cyst come back ...what foods to avoid and eat to cure this illness....if any ladies out there know any good fertility specialist who can help in ovarian cyst and to conceive plzzzzz tell me, or if any ladies out there have tried homeopathic medicine for ovarian cyst I would suggest you to see a specialist in obstetric and gynecology. so you can get additional info or some advice other than homeopathic treatments. As far as I know, you need combination of treatments for this case. I dont think its true that theres no cure for ovarian cyst. It depends on the severity and size of the cyst. Medicine, lifestyle and surgery are all to be considered i guess. Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh comes highly recommended when it comes to gyne and obstetric. Her clinic is also very nice and homey, i am sure you will feel comfortable and enlightened once you consult with her. Just try. and let us know. XX

Hi, I'm slightly overdue a PAP smear but also want to have a well woman check. Theres so many clinic out there to choose from. I live in Arabian Ranches. Has anyone tried the clinic here or has any recommendations for a good doctor else where. thanks Hello there DebbieO I have recently gone through a wellness check, with [u'>[b'>Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh[/b'>[/u'> They offer a good package, since not all health insurance cover a routine wellness check. Dr Aziz did the ultrasound, smear and all blood tests necessary. I was then found to have polycystic ovaries and vitamin D deficient which is very common but usually ignored. I am currently under some treatment and everything has never been better! I'm due for a follow up check in 3 months. You can check their website http://www.nisaclinic.com/services/gyne/ for additional info. I hope I was able to help you and please let me know how your check up goes. XOXO maiN

Hi everyone. I am planning to get pregnant and i dnt know which dr/hospital to choose. My insurance asked me to choose any clinic or hospital to add to my current coverage because previous one was very limited. I had a miscarriage recently and i need a good and experienced dr to help me with pregnancy as i am 35 years old. Please help me to choose the right doctor and hospital. Thank you Hi there maha2015 I'm not quite sure if you have already delivered. But I highly recommend [b'>Dr Azizunnisa Shaikh[/b'> as an obstetrician. She used to have out patient clinic at Mediclinic City Hospital, but has now opened her own private clinic just right next to City Hosp. She still delivers at City Hosp though so most of the insurances cover the delivery package. Let me know what you have decided! All the best! XO
