Thank you for your quick reply. Do they charge extras for books? I know their fee is 37500 dirhams and we are currently ok with it. My concern is do we have to spend more than 50000 AED for a year ?

My child has been offered a place at DESS for FS2. We are happy about it and at the same time concern about the fee. Even thought its a non profit school the fee is high. I would like to know apart from the school fee they have mentioned in their website what are the extra payments do you pay annually? payments for books,uniforms ,any extras.etc...???

I saw two cockroaches and some small flies which comes to fruits and vegetables in my kitchen. I don't want it to get spread so planning to to do a pest control now itself.i have never seen in other areas in my Apartment.i have a two year old. Is there any safe treatment ? I have heard about the gel .is it safe? I can tell the person to put the gel in kitchen,bathrooms fully as I have put a gate to the kitchen.and only upper parts in other areas which my small one can't reach. My concern is does it have a smell or anything which can be harmful ? And please letme know some good pest control places which they use gel and consider there's a small one at home.

How much did it cost to fix a new screen? Me too have to replace and the guy at oasis centre askd 300 dirhams and I feel it's costly. Anyone did it for less? Can you name the place.

I'm mom of two year old. And my little one suddenly started doing all these what you were destribing from last week. Stopd eating the usual food.refusing to wear a diaper.and running all over the house when it's bed time . Refusing to wear his cloths .and asking for his favourite shoe when he goes outs and doesn't allow me to select what he wants to wear.and opening all the doors and turning the keys from this week .so what I feel it's normal at this age as others say its the terrible two... And I don't have a maid too.

Thank you ladies. I'll try to check with my tailor. Seems like it's the best thing. We are planning on a holiday to US next month and wonder is it ok to wear black abaya? As I wear black and not sure I will be left out .we will visit Chicago and my relatives there don't wear abaya. So thinking of stiching a western kind of long dress .

I have a 18 months old toddler and we have plannd our vacation in two weeks time.and I heard my neibours son was down with dengue couple of weeks back. And I'm in hunt of a cream or wipe to protect my little one.i baught pygeon brand mosqito wipes and I also need your advice regarding a good mosquito repellant. And also please tell me where can i buy plug covers which fits a round hole.which I have seen is square once but back home we have plug holes which are round shape. Thanks in advance

Please suggest some ideas about a nursery which i can take my toddler who is 18 months to play and interact with other kids and also to get occupied. I will prefer a nursery which allows me also to stay with him .Im not comfortable leaving him alone as he is not still independent and I'm anxious when he is not around me.And also I'm a home maker and board during day time.and also my toddler doesn't get a chance to see other kids except week ends. Mainly because I don't drive and dependant on my husband. I just want my small one to have some quality time and also I,ll be happy to be around lot of kids rather than staying at home .

Thanks ladies for the replies. But I get a chance to go through the iPad when my baby sleeps only.so I don't think keeping the iPad in the room will work. And sadly we don't have fans in the apartment. Only the AC. But it doesn't make a sound. Any other ideas?? Is there something I can buy from baby shop or mother care ???

I need to sell my LG fridge for a bigger one . But before buying a new one I have to get rid of the one I have at home. But I'm scared to advertise due to the recent incident.(burdubai murder).
