Thanks all, I guess a Rolex is the way to go. I do love the idea of a birth year watch. No hubby might not be as exciting as I described him to be but the man has got a wonderful heart and sometimes that's all that matters!

Looking for ideas for hubby's 40th birthday. He is not into sports or adventurous stuff. We also do not wish to travel. It would need to be something he can keep and cherish. Open to suggestions....

I am looking for suggestions for a good brand of multi vitamin tables that can be bought over the counter here in Dubai. Of late I have noticed a sever case of hair fall and have attributed to poor diet and lack of vitamins. I am working on sorting the diet out but would appreciate any recommendations in regards to the tablets.

Hi I have heard good things about l'Arc en Ciel on Al Wasl rd, near the Life Pharmacy junction. In fact I got a flyer from them yesterday advertising a holiday camp. Thanks WhiteOrchid - I will give them a call. Fingers crossed.

Hi I know that Alliance Francais runs programs for Francophile and non native speakers at Oud Metha as well as Mall of the Emirates but they are not 1:2:!. I know someone who attends the Francophile one for reading and writing and highly recommends it (but you have to speak at native level) give them a call -they are apparently very helpful Hi Rubyslipper - I gave them a call few days back - they do not have classes over the weekend unfortunately.

Try jones the grocer on shk zayed road I have tried it and unfortunately not a fan, food was nothing special and the noise in the restaurant unbearable :-(. They have a new branch at Etihad check in mall on shk zayed as well - much whiter as not many people know of the place - else try Maison bagatelle - I hear it's good but haven't personally tried it. edited by marianndsouza on 20/10/2014

Have 2 unwanted tix for the concert. Does anyone know why I have been charged aed 1060 for 2 general admission tickets if it is only supposed to be 495+12 for email copies?? There's a 30 dhs 'convenience' fee on each ticket as well. Thanks chocs, dint see that on the site, but then again was eager to book before it timed out <em>edited by marianndsouza on 28/02/2012</em>
