a couple of years ago i tried to get my 1000 aed back, settled the final bill, did all the paperwork etc. Went into DEWA near wafi personally SIX times, but they kept saying that the computer did not have the final settlement yet... I finally gave up, as it was seriously not worth my time trying to get it. The guy in the dishdash at the counter told me that i should just leave it, as it is in the system anyway, so if ever i need to get a new connection, just produce the receipt showing the 1000 deposit.. Would love to know if anyone has managed to get their dizzers back..

If you book your train tickets at Deutsche Bahn (the german railway company) you should be able to reserve seats. Hotel wise I suggest you book quickly as a lot of people like to go to the places you want to go over the holidays. One of the 'first addresses' for hotels in the luxury munich would be the' Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten'. You can also take a look here , there is a section on hotels and places to stay. http://www.muenchen.de/int/en/ So, now you just have to find someone who knows about Prague and Austria and your good to go... The Meridien is FABULOUS! its almost opposite the operahouse, and you can walk everywhere, to stephanplatz (cathedral) or the inner rings..i was there two weeks ago, and the christmas market is also open a short distance away in the mueseum quartier...
