I am currently living in Dubai and I am planning on moving to Al Mouj next month and was wondering if anyone knows of any baby classes or baby swimming classes in the area? Unfortunately I was planning on sending my daughter who is 7 months old to the nursery there but they are full until September.

Have you looked at www.casseroleonline.com? They do party size main meals such as shepherds pie which are reasonably priced.

I really like it here. It does have a nice feel as the development is not too big and everyone is very friendly. There is still work going on but it doesn't affect us at all. We looked at quite a few villas before we decided on Mudon and it certainly seemed like the best value and I also like the layout of it. It will be much better when the community centre opens, however the new Arabian ranches shopping centre has just opened across the road and also Motorcity is only a 5 minute drive away so not too bad.

Hello, we had to buy all the appliance when we moved in however we were one of the first people to move in so maybe some landlords have fitted the kitchens by now. We did have quite a few problems with standard appliances not fitting properly. The hob space is designed for a gas hob however the municipality has banned any gas appliances so we had to get an electric one and get Dubai properties cut the space so it would fit. Not a massive job but they still charged us Aed 500! Also the oven is cut to the wrong size so it takes up more room which doesn't allow for a built in microwave. We searched high and low to buy appliances that fitted, but in the end we just got them from hyper panda and made do with the standard ones. Not perfect but they will do.

Hi yes there will be a community pool, gym and tennis courts although not sure when they will be open. My husband has called Dubai Properties and they said it would most likely be next year before the shopping centre opens. With regards to the gardener we are using a guy called Nazin 0502072796. He is doing quite a few gardens round here. He is considerably cheaper than some quotes we were getting and he is doing a good job so far. We have half paved and half grassed and he is charging us Aed 4500 ( we have had several quotes ranging from 10k to 30k!! ). For the cleaning we use focus maids and they charge Aed 35 per hour min 4 hours. Hope this helps!

No nothing open at the moment, I heard it was suppose to be the middle of March but I think that is a bit optimistic. They are working on it which I guess is a good sign! We are renting also, and I think we rushed into it a little bit so we had to buy all the appliances ourselves and also we need to do our garden. At the moment it is just a big sandpit and I have no idea where to start with it!!

Hi, we moved in a couple of weeks ago and apart from a few snagging issues which I guess you always get with a new build ( blocked drains, and we had a few problems with fitting the appliances in the kitchen). we are really happy there. At the moment it is very easy getting in and out however this may change once everyone moves in and the shopping centre opens. Hope this helps.
