Some even said 10 000 aed. I see it at 3300 aed on the French Apple store so I guess it should come here around 4000 aed if we had shipping, custom etc ... Bought mine from Emiratesavenue.com as well and Facetime works well between my husband's iphone 4S and my iPad 2. I think it depends from where you buy it and who you trust online and even offline :) Cheers

They never show Oprah on Thursday here unfortunately, so, the Finale will be aired on Saturday on MBC4 at 9pm, then they will show the few episodes that we missed on this last season (as since the last few days they jumped a few episodes to catch up with the US airing of the finale with only 1 day difference for the 2 last show before the last one). Could you ladies give me an idea on the current real rent price for 1 and 2 bedrooms in Executives ? I'm in the Loft towers right now, amazing but quite pricy ! Reading all the excitement about Executives makes me want to be part of it !! You're not interested in a furnished apartment are you???;) No haha, have too many already ! Just a nice 1 or 2 bedroom depending on the price difference

this was at sharjah, i called the grocery to send me few stuff along with potato chips: me: yes... and may i ask, do you have potato chips? S: yes mam, we have potatoes me: no, not potatoes, potato chips S:!!! me: potato chips that comes in small bags or cans S: you mean potatoes mam, yes they come in small bags me: :\: , no potato chips, you know layz, pringles .. S:yes yes, potato chips me: !!!!!! ok, yes potato chips but please anything but not the salt and vinegar taste, anything is ok but not that one. S: ok mam bell rang i opened the door, he got me 1 kilo of potatoes, a bottle of oil and another one vinegar !!!! This is really hilarious and happens so often haha. I think you should never say any word except the things you actually want otherwise you indeed get every item you pronounced. Last week at mac donald, I was with 2 friends and asked for 3 meals, with orange juice and 1 extra coke, she repeated, I confirmed, and I got 3 meals with 3 coke and 3 orange juices ...

You could use the Valet parking on the Address hotel downtown side (the white and blue one), they'll take care of your car and you just have to walk 100m to be front facing the fountains

Would definitely go to the Dubai mall aquarium and underwater zoo, prices have dropped like mad ! There are full packages now for 100 aed if I remember well

It looks good but there are only a few products so not sure if I would trust them. If you look for an iPad I think that Nahel have it, I pre-ordered mine on Emirates Avenue, got it last week but price is still quite expensive, at least they had stock. edited by martinedelage on 31/03/2011

And what about all the Coke brands ? + 50% since January 1st, I was shocked, cans are now 1.5 aed instead of 1, with the coke drinkers at home, bills keep rising ! It's unbelievable that they could indeed increase 50% in 1 shot. but they have been 1 AED forever! a can of coke in the UK is about a pound? or more??! about 7 aed! I agree with you, but it's not because it was cheap for a long time that it's normal to increase 50% in 1 day. It's also much cheaper because the storage facilities / customs are much cheaper and that there is 0 tax on it. It is obviously normal that price increases when the economy is rising but not normal to change a price 50% from 1 day to the next. By that Logic potatoes or spices are also much cheaper than in Europe and since a long time, so if they increase 50% tomorrow you would think it's normal ?
