Hello, I am looking for a really good ballet school or program taught by ballet professionals, preferably in Dubailand or Al Barsha/Jumeirah area. I would appreciate if you can share your personal experience. Thank you

That is so strange. I don't know what to tell you. I am pretty shocked as well I will not comment on the food court regulations, because I have no idea have it works there, but I am more than sure that children can eat and drink as much as they need... How can you explain to a baby or toddler that he has to eat discreetly?! How can be a mature woman offended by seeing another mother giving a bottle to her hungry baby?!! And what`s more, IN THE CAR?!! It`s an absolute nonsense. I fed my babygirl in the restaurant about half an hour before Azaan and there were many muslim families sitting around us and I really don`t think they were offended as many people were very friendly, smiling at her and even asking about her name, age, sending their blessings etc... There must be something wrong with people who get offended by innocent baby who can not control his appetite and hunger!

Hello ladies, Could you please give me some tips and suggestions on where to find affordable leather corner sofa (preferably white one, or other colour like beige, cognac, red.. except of black)? The ordinary furniture shops here offer mostly faux-leather furniture and I would rather have a real leather one but it can`t cost me an arm and a leg! LOL TIA

Having a look at the website this Ranches Primary school is going to use a Cambridge curriculum which is the exam board most popular in India for the British Curriculum. The website also has an English as a Second Language (EAL) section which will be a good thing as EAL is not often offered in Dubai. So I wonder, this or the Jebel Ali School which will be across the road in Akoya or continue the search.... SugarMama, what grade and year do you want to apply for? I have already started to feel desperate. I was very much interested in JAPS and wanted to get a place in reception (FS2) in 2016, but it seems students for that academic year are already admitted! Do you know they are opening FS1 in 2015? Children from FS1 and siblings of existing students have secured places for 2016, so there is a very little chance for the others  I checked RPS website and...excuse me, is it really OK and fair enough for a brand new school with no academic history to ask 55K for Year-1-6 (45K for FS) ?!

I think people here need elevator manners: - Let people get out of the elevator first before barging in - Dont crowd in just because you can, causing people to have to rub up against each other - Dont get in an elevator thats going down, press a floor up, and then get annoyed when it goes down - Parents with pushchairs get priority - you can take the **** escalator! Driving etiquette is a whole other topic! This! [i'>[b'>Parents with pushchairs get priority - you can take the **** escalator![/b'>[/i'> It should be engraved in golden letters on the wall next to the lifts!!! Especially in places like Dubai mall, Marina mall, etc.

I was looking for some school reviews and this post came from the search! So true, ladies, perfectly described!!! I especially "enjoy" gentlemen`s manners in this country. I am going from parking to lobby with baby in one hand and xxx shopping bags (heavy groceries! nothing chic in the bags), another young child walking next to me and NO ONE tries/wants to help me - open/hold the door, press the lift button etc, while security guy is sitting on his chair and starring at me stupidly! Or another neighbour is waiting for a lift and also stupidly looking at me through the glass how I am kicking in the door to enter... I know those people will never change and this is simply a part of their disrespectful behaviour, but I can not help myself, it still drives me crazy...

Hi Minara, I am a French Teacher and a French Tutor. I think "L'arc en ciel" on Wasl Road offers what you're looking for :) Thank you! It seems it is exactly what I was looking for :) I checked their FB page where was posted the program for spring camp and it looked pretty exciting and a lot of fun :)

I have nothing positive to say about this clinic... They rush u in to things... Staff is rude...even the Drs are okay okay.. I did my daughters braces there n I just wish I didn't go there I am sorry you had a bad experience.. Hopefully at least the final result was worth it all! Anyway thanks for your comment, every personal experience (positive or negative) is highly appreciated. If you don`t mind my asking, you felt you were being rushed into what? paying money or going for a treatment you didn`t expect or find necessary?

My daughter goes there and we have been very happy with the care she receives. She is quite a difficult case and the doctors have worked together to help her and explain everything so she is less stressed about it all. Hi and thanks for answer  Can you please write me who is treating your daughter and what kind of braces does she wear? How much did it cost?

Hi ladies, I try to find some summer camp for young children (DD is 3,5 y/o) that would be either bilingual (English and French) or a purely French one. Unfortunately so far I haven`t found anything but purely English ones! I tried to google some French courses for young children, I found offer from Alliance francaise but that course starts at age 5. Do you know about some courses or summer camp in Dubai where French language is taught or is spoken along with English? Thanks alot :)
