Hi, TDB, I'm completely agree with Big blue regarding eating. I have two friends, one in my home country and one here, we have kids of the same age. Both these friends were also very afraid of giving solids in appropriate time because of choking. One of them sent her son to the nursery at the age of 2, and the teachers didn't know what to do with him as the only food he ate for the whole day, from 8 am till 5p.m was bread. When he was 4y.o. the situation was almost the same. Now he is seven but he still can not eat even average pieces, only small ones, and can eat only minced meat and chicken. The same with the other boy:we were in the cafe and he started choking with vomiting when he put a piece of potato in his mouth,and his mom told me that he can't eat food in pieces and also eats only minced meat. He was 6 at that time. And I am also not helpful in the question of sleeping. I also was exhausted with my second baby as she woke up several times per night. I thought that I knew everything being a mom for the second time. But kids are different and everything that worked with the fist baby failed with the second. First I tried all my methods, then completely exhausted bought Mother &Baby with the article about controlled crying and tryed it.But first time I couldn't wait more then 10 min, and after one month repeated and could wait 20 min.She was red from crying stood in her cot and did not look like she was going to sleep at all. so I decided not to use that method anymore.She will be three soon but we still babying her.
