DON't try the "cheese cake" recipe! It's more like a sweet and lemon flavored omlette...yuk! ewww...that picture is so deceptive! Was really looking forward to making that but not anymore! I had chicken breast with fromage and mustard sauce for dinner last night with oat bran pancake. Is it me only or to others these taste quite the same? Fromage frais = Non Fat Sour Cream = Non fat Yogurt

i'm having the same kind of day as you mishmash........uurrggghhh! have a look at these dessert recipes to cheer you up. I'm going to try one tonight. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1311382/The-Dukan-Diet-just-got-better-Now-eat-gourmet-food-AND-stay-slim.html You really cheered me up! Seriously I was salivating looking at those pictures. Makes me want to stop being lazy-get off my B**t and make a delicious Dukan dinner. It is not the diet but my laziness that is making it so limiting. Thanks gemm3210 :)

Fifth day of Cruise and this diet is not as easy as I thought! I know it will work for sure but I am finding it soooo difficult now. The only thought that keeps me going is that one day it'll be over and I would have lost the extra pounds and will be able to eat normally and feel fit. Protein days are the most difficult..I am living on eggs and turkey slices and actually don't even feel hungry anymore. I really admire all of you who've managed to stay on it for so long. Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

My little one wakes up at 7am and sleeps at 7pm. I do wake him up for his dreamfeed at 10.30pm. Actually my routine is exactly like Shelly's and my son's sleep and wake up timings are like in her words "non negotiable" . I started him on Tracy Hogg when he was around 4-6 weeks and really believe that she helped me understand the sleep/tiredness/feeding cues. After that he has been on Gina Ford's CLB sleep-feed-weaning routines and it has works wonderfully for us. A sleep thread always attracts a bit of a discussion ;). Usually one side leans more towards the Dr Sears baby led style and other towards the Gina Ford. Then there is tracy hogg who is kind of in the middle of things. And lastly but not the least is the No Books- mom's own intuition. It is always nice to read different point of views on how beautifully such contrasting parenting styles works for different babies and parents. And then you can decide what would be the most suitable way forward for you.

Probably not a genius tip and maybe some of you are already doing this. This is what I do to get some fat free thighs along with fat free chicken stock which I use to make soups or stir frys. In a pan I put some cinnamon sticks, peppercorns and few garlic cloves and toss them around. Then I add around 1 kg of chicken thighs let them brown a bit in their own fat. After that add 2 litres of water...let it cook until done. Remove the thighs and store it in a container in the fridge to have with dressings or can be shredded in chicken or vegetable soups. The stock I keep in the fridge...and this is the best part for me :) (If in rush you can pop it in the freezer for 2 hrs, but it should not freeze) You will see a thick white layer of yucky fat that floats on the top, just scoop it out with a strainer and throw. Now you have a nice flavoured fat free chicken stock. This can be used as a base for other soups or , I've even had it as cup soup with a dash of tobasco as a snack. <em>edited by mishmash on 23/06/2011</em>

Another tip! Nandos chicken! yummy Btw are we allowed to have sweet chilli sauce on attack phase? (I think I know the answer, but keep hoping its ok, lol) Nandos Really? I would think that the chicken was marinated or basted with some carb sauce. But if not then it would be a great addition :)

4 garlic cloves 6 large onions 1 or 2 tins peeled tomatoes 1 large cabbage head 6 carrots 2 green peppers 1 bunch celery 3 litters water 3 low fat beef bouillon cubes 3 low fat chicken bouillon cubes Peel and cut the vegetable into equal sizes. Put them in a soup pot with the stock cubes and cover with water. Let them bill for 10 minutes. Then reduce the heat and continue cooking until the vegetables are tender. Thanks for the recipe gemm3210.

For those in the cruise phase I thought I'd let you know I made the vegetable soup from the diet book today. Not bad at all and it really does fill you up. Great for pv days. Last night I made the pepper steak recipe from the diet book. The only thing I did different was deglaze the pan with red wine when I flipped the steak over to cook the other side. After removing the cooked steak and deglazed again with some boiling water and added the yoghurt and salt into the pan for a lovely thick sauce. Hi gemn3210..I dont have have the recipe book.Would you please share the soup recipe, it'll be nice to make some in bulk and freeze for the Pv days. Thanks. <em>edited by mishmash on 21/06/2011</em>

You can generally buy fresh non-fat milk anywhere that sels milk. It often has a light blue lid and is labelled 'skimmed'. Great, so will get the Lacnor skimmed milk. For some reason I was under the impression that skimmed does have some fat content.

Mishmash I was 71.3kg on the 9th May and I am now 64.4kg, should be introducing bread and a few more carbs by 1st July (my target is anything below 63) you'll probably find that you get there a lot quicker than the chart on the Dukan website says, but its nice to have a guideline Jenna..congrats! You have really motivated me :) Our starting and target weight is almost the same. Today is the 2nd Attack day and so far it has been quite easy. I had boiled 6 eggs in the morning and it was a handy snack to have between meals..i just threw the yolks out. Now I need to think of some more quick meal and snack ideas.

I finally started the diet yesterday :) Could not go to the supermarket myself so sent DH with the list and needless to say big mistake! Firstly he went to Lulu instead of Carrefour so of course dint find the nonfat fromage frais and the Oat bran. He got a big container of non fat sour cream (Knudsen - brand) so I am using that as a dip for the proteins. I know I am suppose to have oat bran everyday but I really wanted to start yesterday, so did without it. Hoping to get some today. Thanks for all the replies and it is nice to post all our Dukan diet finds over here, will make the shopping so much easier.

I have bought oat bran in Spinney's and Park'n'shop. Not sure about the turkey. If you just buy chicken breasts they are low fat. Carrefour are great for 0% fat plain and fruit yoghurts and the 0% fat fromage frais. Thanks plum2! So I guess carrefour is the place to go to for most of the shopping as anyways the attack phase has a very limited list. Maybe will try Organics in the morning for oat bran. Hopefully can start the diet day after :)

Hi mishmash, just re-read my post and realised I could have been a bit clearer! Ok, Ikea roll down blind goes on first. You then install a rod above the window and this is where your curtain is hung. I then stuck down the left and right side of the curtains to the metal part of the window edges (you could stick it to the wall). The rope from the Ikea blind must be hanging on the outside of the curtain that you have just stuck down in or for you to have easy access to the roll up and roll down function. With the Pottery Barn curtain taped down, the light coming into the room is minimised. Hope that helps?! Thanks a lot M! have understood it now :)

Sorry if I got ur name wrong! u know who u r :) WiiFit Plus rocks! I been using it for 3 days now, about an hour to hour and half each day, and have lost 900gms. Not bad for a start huh? Of course, its only salads at night. It weighs u everyday and give u a graph of how ur progressing, how many calories u burnt, etc Wii Fit Pls has Yoga, Aerobics, Strngth training, Balance training, and some games. The games are kinda silly, but fun.. and u get calories burnt. If u cheat, it knows and u dont get burnt calories. U can make your own routine with yoga and strength training and mix them also. It wont let u go past the beginners stage until its satisfied, so even tho your muscles ache the first couple of days, its not like u r exhausted. Of course, I dont think only FitPlus is enough. I plan to get a couple more workout CDs for sure. I need to lose some more weight faster. Oh and if u do any excercise outside of wiifitplus, u can add that and get ur calories for that. But on the whole, I think its excellent. Yes you got my name wrong ;) Thanks for the review and its nice to know that you are really enjoying the wii and oh congrats on the weightloss! At this rate I think you'll be at your goal weight quite soon. I am definitely getting this or the kinect..but which one, still have'nt been able to make up my mind. DH say kinnect as it does not have controllers but there are some negative reviews about its sensors. But will decide soon and let you know how I get on with it.

Thanks for the info M! But having a dumb moment here: Ok so the Ikea Blind goes under and on top are the Pottery Barn curtains or are they also blinds? I mean If I need to tape the side of the curtain to the window frame then they would be like curtains, which gather to each side and can be tied..right? Double sided tape..what a great idea MI..would never have thought of that :) I have been struggling to block the light that creeps in from the sides and will do the same. Where can I get double sided tape? and could you please share the contact details of the company you mentioned. DH is useless with these things..and would be great to have someone come and fix the IKEA blinds. Hi mishmash - you can get heavy duty double sided tape from Ace Hardware - it's the 3M brand one. You might be able to find it in a major supermarket too. Al Basti's number is 04 329 5799. :)

I did exactly the same as Southern Star - white roll downs from Ikea and nice thick blinds from Pottery Barn. I also used double sided tape down the side of the window to stick the Pottery Barn blinds down which helped immensely. I made sure the cord for the roll downs was still accessible so now if I want light I pull up the Ikea roll down and draw back the blinds. We got a trade company called Al Basti to install the rolls downs and curtains for 50 dirhams. edited by M on 10/06/2011 Double sided tape..what a great idea MI..would never have thought of that :) I have been struggling to block the light that creeps in from the sides and will do the same. If you need to lose this much weight I'd suggest getting a personal trainer to come to your house unless you are very disciplined. I speak as someone who did manage to lose that much by excercising but had three very brutal sessions a week...I worked much, much harder than I ever would have done on my own. But then I'm lazy! Suze63, I would say I am fairly disciplined and basically love working out.But after the delivery, have just not been getting anytime to get to the gym. I think i could manage to get around 1 hour free in the day but prefer to do an effective workout at home and thats why considering the wii or kinnect.

we were having dinner one evening, i ordered something spicy. when it arrived and i had my first bite, it was MORE than spicy. i sipped my wine and told my dh that i was going to send it back - not complaining - just asking if there was some way for them to tone it down a bit. a lady, 2 tables down, got up and out of the blue told me to drink milk. i was wtf? she said 'oh i was listening to you telling your husband how spicy the food is and i thought i'd tell you that milk works wonders' ... i was gobsmacked that she was listening to our conversation AND felt the need to say something :\: unbelievable!! whats wrong with people?

For me the best was the voucher for the Chimes restaurant. We redeemed 3 vouchers together for home delivery and the food was to die for. That is what I would call a deal, where they don't compromise on the quality just because they think you've paid less than retail price for the service or product. Would I be ordering again from them at full price - Absolutely! I think these places which offer poor service on their own deals are being very short sighted. The cost of advertising in print or on the internet by getting banner space is high. These deals are a fantastic way for them to get out there and advertise themselves and the discount they offer gets offset by the sheer volumes of people who purchase these vouchers. So basically they have advertised for free! They should be actually giving you a better than usual service to win you over as a customer so that you would come back and happily pay full price for their product or service. <em>edited by mishmash on 09/06/2011</em>

http://www.forbes.com/2009/01/29/video-games-wii-technology-personal-tech_0129_wii.html Check this out ;) Thats true but I think thats the case with any fitness equipment people buy not limited to the Wii only whether it a treadmill or a cross-trainer that lies gathering dust. Basically if you are not disciplined enough to get off your B**t and work at it, it is all useless. Not to mention the wasted Gym membership fees that are never used...and I am guilty of that one :)

We found their deliveries to be a lot of sauce and not much substance although the flavours were good. We had a brunch there once and the food was very good though. Thanks!Just went through their menu and the seafood section seems good and a little different from the usual "prawn in green curry" and fish in red curry cliches. We used one of the deal sites and bought Royal Kebab vouchers..agreed they were pretty cheap but the food was really below average (To put it politely) and yes it was not a "Deal" . It is clear that a lot of these places have no business and are using this platform to sell anything. Now I am very careful..and have decided to check reviews/feedback especially of restaurants before I decide to buy one of these.

I delivered last year and the amount of hair loss that I've been experiencing is unbelievable. Its like everywhere..and now I can clearly see my scalp from the front. I was searching for hair loss in dubai and found this website http://hairloss-in-dubai.blogspot.com/2011/05/top-5-vitamins-and-dietary-supplements.html also has some other info... I thought before I try Minoxidil or Nioxin products,I'll start the Recommended Vitamins. Its been almost 2 months since I am taking these and have not seen much result. I am taking Biotin, Msm and Evening primrose oil. Also have improved my diet but until now has not made any difference.I read an article on post partum Alopecia which is basically hair loss after delivery..and they say that hair usually grows back after 6-7 months. But for me its been much longer and I am still shedding loads. It is so depressing....sorry twiglet not offering any solution but I share your pain :( <em>edited by mishmash on 07/06/2011</em>

As far as I know with although Virtuzone does not force you to have an office or get a desk space, they do have some sort of a recurring monthly rental cost of approximately AED 1500-1800 which does add up to quite a bit over and above the 20k something licence fees. And Shelly is right..even In my research I found that Rak Freezone is the cheapest option. The only benefit of Virtuzone is that they give you 5 visas on 1 license ofcourse its a benefit only if you have a requirement of the extra visas,
