Is there any particular stylist you would all recommend at Locks by Lou? Lou is the owner and she is excellent, knows her stuff when it comes to colouring and her cuts are fab. Charlotte does my hair extensions and blow dries she's also amazing :)

Afternoon everyone, I am very new to Dubai, and I am going to be living in the JLT area. Do you have any recommendations of where I can go for hair (cut and colour) and nails (gel)? Been going to the same people for years, so this is difficult for me ;) I may be a little late here but I can highly recommend Locks by Lou Lou in JLT! The girls there are fantastic especially Charlotte and Lou, they listen to exactly what you want and have a lot of experience! I've had some shocking experiences here but I've been happy every time! The nail service is also great ;)

I use this brand and swear by it! I have sensitive combination skin prone to breakouts... I use the acne cleansing wash and toner and it has stopped my skin from being oily in the oily areas but most importantly hasn't tried it out in the drier areas :) If you pop in to the shop they can recommend the best products for you. I don't think I'd use another brand again!

I've had my teeth bleached by dentists and experienced ALOT of sensitivity, many of my friends have said the same. I can recommend Zabadne Sterling in JLT, they have some fantastic home kits and take a mould of your teeth as well so the next time you want the treatment you only need to buy the capsules of whitening solution...personally i love Crest Strips... They're easy to use in the comfort of your own home and as you use them daily for 7 days every quarter there is minimal sensitiivity I'll even use one the day before an event to top up the whiteness. If yours are badly stained I would recommend a professional treatment and then crest strips every so often to maintain :)

Never! There is a hair treatment which is advertised as 'botox' for hair but it is more for volume and smoothing... In my experience it's actually very heavy and made my hair extremely oily... If you're looking for a straightening treatment with as little damage as possible I would go for a Brazilian Blow Dry / keratin straightening. But please go to a reputable salon to get this done to be sure they're not using anything with harsh chemicals... Toni and guy may be an option... I've never had it done in Dubai so can't be of any more help I'm arfaid :)

Tips and toes are doing deals every week over the next month or so, 50% off nail extensions from July 27th across all of their branches :) Although... i wouldn't recommend nail extensions if your nails are already in bad shape... they do more harm than good! x
