Sorry to hear about your experience. I use Deepak tailor in Satwa. Used them for various items from copies to just hand drawn designs. Never had issues with them. They are in the main street.

If places have them it's usually only 1. I have never seen others. I use a Woman's Weekly kids cookbook to make the numbers. Very easy so far had great success with 1 & 2. Just about to try 3. I have also seen them on amazon fairly reasonably priced as well. HTH

Hi I have one that I brought for my DD 2. I found it very useful travelling to Australia so much easier than the plane belts. Only thing as DD is quite slim she could wiggle down as no strap between legs. It was great that it's so easy to carry in hand luggage. Girlfriend borrowed it & was also very happy. Well worth the investment.

The curtain section of IKEA gave me the business cards of two tailors who will sew the lining into the curtains for you, if you already have them. The one I used even picked up and dropped off the curtains for me so I didn't have to try to find their shop in Deira. They did a good job. Did you buy the black out from Ikea? Has anyone taken curtains to Ikea and had them stitch on the black out? Just spoke with Ikea - you can buy the blackout from them but they wont stitch - you would have to take to a tailor Anyone have any suggestions :) edited by Missymoo on 10/06/2012

Hi Ladies I watched Fat, Sick, and nearly Dead movie (a Joe cross film) late last year and since then have been following a juice plan on and off. I find the 10 day is great just to give your body a break and re boot it self. I'd love to go longer but I find this is the easiest to follow. When you stop 100% juicing you find yourself naturally eating more veggies and fruits and whole foods rather than processed. I always have some juice in the fridge I find it a great snack for the times you feel like something in between meals. If you have havnt watched the movie you MUST :)

Hi i delivered there 3 years ago and was happy with my delivery and treatment. While its not a flash hospital the rooms are adequate and you can request a private and if they have available then you might be lucky. I had an epi so no issues on that. I think you need to register early so best to check on that. Also i am not sure on the cost but its certainly cheaper then many big hospitals. Best to visit them and check Good Luck

If the car is new and your are 1st owner and not less than 3years old you do not need to test the vech. Once you have insurance you can complete online or better still check with your insurance company as some are approved to complete it for you if they are an approved RTA Trusted Agent. You can 800 90 90 to check Good luck

At the end of jan i broke my ankle in 2 places and ended up in a wheel chair for 6 weeks and I experienced similar incidents....and this was in Australia. The worst was shopping centers as people just would not move - as much as you try to plan your path so as to not disturb people they still seem to move in front of you or block the way making it more difficult for you. I never though felt at any time that anyone was looking at me negatively more curisoty as Plain Jane stated. Must say it gave me a new prospective on wheelchairs and I certainly was glad when i could walk freely again :) edited by Missymoo on 22/05/2012

We are also looking at the moment and its so time consuming and stressful :( I am also weary of going with a private landlord due to maintenance issues. What i have been doing is knocking on the neighbours doors and asking them what its like. At least then you get an honest answer rather than the agent assuring you its fine. I have already turned down a few places due to the neighbours responses :) MirdifIngrid = where exactli in mirdiff r you can i ask? what type of villa's are they?

Starsouthern - when i contacted centers for my DD they didnt tell me of any minimum esp with reagrds to OT. For OT we only pay AED400 as well. For her ST they recommended she do 3 sessions a week which we decided to start there and see how she goes.. Maybe contact other centers...

Parking fines can be contested with RTA (not Police). You need to visit the main office in Umm Ramool (Opp emirates metro station). Good Luck

Hi All We have just started OT & ST for your DD 33mths. She has had epilipsy since14mths and been on various medicinces. In March this year she underwent surgery to remove a malformation in her brain that was causing the epilipsy. Due to the epilipsy and meds her development is delayed. We have just started 1 hr of OT & 3 hrs of ST per week. As we have just started its hard to say if that is too much or not enough. Since surgery she has shown great development so we are hoping that with the therapy things will move forward rapidly. so far the center has been good but early days yet - overall though we confident in them and comfortable. i guess time will tell. Cost wise i think all centers are pretty much the same per hour. I think you should have a look at other centers - just to see what options you have. Ranches Rose - what exactly is ABA? and what type of behaviour therapy do you cover? Is this privately or through a center?

I have just gone through this process for my daughters medicince from Australia so assume it would be the same from UK. This is the link to the UAE embassy in Australia. There is an excel sheet that you can check the medicine on http://uae-embassy.ae/Embassies/au/Content/1803 You need to have a presection and then have it authorised by your government and then the UAE in that country. Hope this helps

Mums, how do you entertain your 1+ year old? DD is now 14 months and I need to start taking her to playgroups. So far I have found Kiddlywinks, what else is there??? I'm also looking for affordable activities, My Gym and Kidville is far too expensive in my opinion. Thanks! Where is Kiddywinks? I have never heard of it... I have a 20month DD and need to find some fun activities for her esp with Summer coming. I usually go to either Mirdiff City Center or Oasis Center. Have been thinking of trying mini monster as well edited by Missymoo on 17/04/2011

Hi Pingu We actually picked it up at 14months and our peds referred us to Dr Kayed. She is on Keppra but its not working so we have introduced Toppamax now and are hoping this works so we can take her off the keppra. At first the toppamax was making her sleep for only 6hrs on 24hrs but now 3 weeks on she has settled. Unfortunately still having mild seizures so we are in the middle of increasing again - sleepless nights and crazy days :) Dr Kayed is lovely. We did see Dr Udani who visit from Indian at Welcare just as a second opinion. Same diagnosis so will stick with Dr Kayed for now. Really hope to get it all under control and it seems to be affecting her developmentally but at the moment trying to stay positive and take it a day at a time. DD is our first child and neither of us have a history in our family's - just one of things. Been a learning curve for both of us dealing with her seizures and now the medicine and affect it is having on her. Just trying to stay positive and hope we get the dosage right. How do you go getting her to take her meds? I have just found a pharmacy that will compound the tablets to syrup for me which takes some of the stress of. :)
