I have a selection of handmade papers (along with a lot of other craft/ card making stuff!) for sale at half the UK rrp. I was looking to sell the lot as a complete package, but would consider selling the paper separately. I have put it on the classifieds, but just waiting for the ad to be approved. If interested please email me and I will send a full list of what is available. allison dot jane at hotmail dot co dot uk

Sorry for my delayed reply, i've not logged on fir a while. Thanks Sanddy_Dogg, it wasn't that one either, but it's still another lead for me to follow, thank you. VeganPrincess, I am more than happy to sell to anyone interested. The reason I thought of a company is because i have rather a lot of stuff, worth about 21,000dhs retail value!! Ideally i want to sell the lot in bulk, Looking to sell at half that value if you are interested. Sorry mods, it's not my intention to skip the classifieds page! Will list it on there tomorrow! Thank you

Please report it immediately. I have just received this email from my DS secondary school. Scary! Dear Parents Yesterday I was advised by a fellow Headteacher in Dubai that one of their female key stage 3 students was subjected to a very unpleasant and disturbing incident on Tuesday of this week. As such I feel I have a duty of care to share this information with you. At 4.40 pm (i.e. this happened in broad daylight) the student concerned took a taxi home after an extra curricular activity. Thereafter the taxi driver physically exposed himself to the young girl. After dropping her off he then hovered around her home for some time. Very sensibly she took the taxi number; this will enable the police to pursue the matter further. He then left. The student was not physically harmed at all, though both she and her parents were naturally very distressed. The following advice emerges out of this very unpleasant incident: if your child takes a taxi please ask that they make a call to yourselves (or even a dummy call, if needs be), stating the taxi number and the colour of the roof. The colour of the roof is important as different cabs can have the same number, so the colour of the roof defines precisely which cab they are travelling in. Obviously this information needs to be conveyed loud enough for the driver to hear. Such incidents are clearly not the norm and should not lead to students refraining from using taxi's, however it will help to give yourselves and your children peace of mind if you were to adopt, if you do not already, the advice outlined previously. Kind Regards

Thanks veganprincess, it's not the one I was looking for, but could still be useful. I have a mountain of new unused craft stuff from my business days to get rid of and am hoping a company might buy the lot from me! :)

I have just been to City Hospital who have stocks of Epipens. If you purchased your Anapen from them I think they will exchange it for an Epipen, otherwise if you have a prescription they will issue the Epipen. I decided it was not worth risking my life on a dodgy Anapen for the sake of spending 425dhs on an Epipen (although I bought 2 to be extra safe!!) Emirates hospital only have Anapens and cannot exchange them for about 3-4 weeks when they are expecting replacement stocks. HTH

Sorry, not been on to reply! The PL number is on the barrel of the pen, in the blurb of bullet points, starting about not using after expiry date, how to store etc. on my pen it is next to the picture instructions but you will have to turn pen to point upwards to read as text is in different direction. ( clear as mud!!) Hth I usually get mine from Emirates hospital. I have not been able to get a replacement yet as I am still waiting for a repeat prescription before I can collect. I will need to re-read the article as I was hoping for the Anapen rather than epipen as the expiry dates are usually longer!

Ok, in short the Insurance Company are right. This is all about "insurable interest". The Bank have a financial interest in the car which they have effectively paid for (lent you the money to buy). Therefore, they have a right to insist you insure it so that, in the event of a total loss, they do not lose out financially. Of course, you cannot drive the car without insurance so insurance companies are obliged by the Banks to include them as primary beneficiaries on the insurance policy. For minor damage and normal accident related issues, this is not a problem because the bank hasn't lost anything - you still have the car and normally it will be repaired to the same condition that it was in before the accident (value is maintained). However, where the car is damaged beyond economic repair, the insurance can pay you the money equivalent to its market value at the time. This money is then primarily paid to the Bank and any surplus returned to you. Where a deficit occurs, as here, the insurance company are obliged to collect this from you and pay the total to the Bank. Otherwise, if they paid you, you could run off with the money and not pay the bank....in which case you have benefited from the total loss (receiving money you never paid) and the Bank lose their asset (the car) plus the money they lent to buy it - double whammy. So, no, it's not illegal. It's actually a straightforward insurance principle that "you" cannot benefit from a total loss. Hope that helps.

Back of tickets clearly states no cameras :(( the tickets for James Blunt said cameras were allowed as long as they were not professional ones. Really annoying as if you watch the DD concert at MSG it was full of people with cameras!

It is true to say that it is not the agency but the worker, but the agency does train them in what to do. Housekeepingco.com is great. The lady who runs it is English and seems to be very hands on. I had never used an agency before but now my cleaner is always early, cleans things that haven't been done in ages even without asking. Have to say I used Housekeepingco.com for a couple of months, started off well, but quickly went downhill :( Issues were not dealt with well by the owner (calls rejected, calls never returned etc etc). I would have asked for a different maid from them but the way things were handled by the owner left me thinking why bother giving them the business, especially at 40dhs/hr !!

Housekeepingco.com Telephone: 0505588095 I think each agency has good and not so good maids. I used this company for 2 months, started off OK, would turn up early and I was pleased with the level of cleaning, although I had to speak to the maid as she had thrown my bank statement in the bin along with several other things including a credit note. Luckily I was home and noticed these things when I went to put some rubbish in the bin. However after the first month they started turning up late, I did have a call explaining this once. Then I went back to work and that's when things went wrong. The level of cleaning seamed to drop and I found an external door left wide open when I got home in the evening. Obviously the door incident was reported and it was how this was handled by the company owner, along with the fact that I had gone home on their next visit unannounced to speak with the maid and found her having a nice cup of coffee, that made me finish with their services. (I really didn't mind her having the coffee, but she had obviously turned up late as nothing had been started).

mmm.......moved by DS from a school after a dreadful year 7 due to bullying (not physical) that was not handled at all well by the school! Also know personally of others that have done the same. He was so miserable he wanted to go to boarding school as he believed all schools in Dubai were the same. Thankfully he has had no issues at all with the school he is in now (not saying it doesn't happen, but have not heard of any problems and he is OK), best thing we did was move him. Ask the school to see their anti-bullying policy. He actually comes home smiling and chatting now, which is something that did not happen in year 7.
