Chemical peel can have mixed results depending on the strength of the product, It will 'refresh' the skin but I can't say it will turn back the clock. I had fraxel done this last summer and what a difference! I have moderate scarring from acne all over my cheeks and it has removed almost all traces of it. You will be a bl**dy (not the swear work, actually blood) mess for a couple of days with weeping and bleeding skin but give yourself 2 days to heal and by the 4th day you could wear some makeup to cover some of the redness. Takes a couple of months to really fill in the skin but you will even see immediate results. Doesn't tighten the skin but it does reduce pores and wrinkles, smooths out your skin and may even remove some redness (although there is another laser for that). My recommendation would be to save your money up for laser and you will see a real change. Stay out of the sun as well. Before and after, it can make your skin more sun sensitive. edited by ToutSweetParis on 30/05/2013 Do you mind saying where you got Fraxel done?

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. Sunlight-I don't know the exact answer to that, but I think you need to have a licence if you are working in the UAE.

Can anyone suggest a copywriter to refine content for a website, essentially making it more concise, pithier and more web appropriate for a professional services/HR consulting firm? Content will be solely in English.

Thanks for the reply Heyjude. I've asked my gardener to get me one from the plant souk but he cant find it. You mentioned seeds from a pod from the supermarket-I've not come across that-where would I find it? Or anyone else have a tree I can get a cutting from?

Does anyone know where I can buy a Moringa tree or seeds in Dubai? Tried in Dubai Garden Centre already, they are out of stock.

Been to the Park Hyatt and it was beautiful. Rooms and pool areas lovely and beach is stunning, water was crystal clear blue. Whilst they were accommodating for kids (gave us 2 single extra beds in the room) I would say it's more a hotel for grown ups than families. Can't comment on Le Meridien.

Le Marche in Arabian Ranches have Kerrygold unsalted butter. Do C4 have salted? Looked in Waitrose today and could see any of either type.

Here you go cymraes: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/oven-roasted-lamb-shanks-with-roasted-tomatoes-and-toasted-orzo-recipe2/index.html Well worth trying. I'd seen a program on New York restaurants where Bobby Flay made this dish and was keen to try it. We're going to New York this summer so might try it out at his restaurant and see if it's as good as mine!

Trying out a new lamb shank recipe today which is asking for orzo. It's not a product I'm familiar with so I've never looked for it. Can anyone tell me where to buy it?

I used a company, but can't remember the company's name, although the man who came was called Kumar - measured up and quoted, used high quality foam (much better than the original!) and high quality fabric, delivered and fitted within 3-4 days. Having previously taken templates and cushions down to Satwa, negotiated the parking etc, and then the shop getting it wrong, twice, I was very pleased and the cost seemed very reasonable to me. Let me know if you want the number.

I'm using L'Oreal's BB cream and really liking it, but it is only SPF 12. I see Dermalogica are heavily advertising their new product-has anyone tried it?

I've done it too. I took the paperwork to the customer services dept and the form was filled in there. They wanted to see my passport (not all stores do), so best to have it with you.

Do you think they would be OK for detailed alterations? I've got an expensive evening dress to be altered on top, its a boned bodice. Anyone else got any suggestions where to take it other than Satwa?

Thanks for the replies ladies. Every time my hair gets to about 3 inches past my shoulder, I always seem to get a disastrous cut and end up getting it cut short and starting again. Maybe the hairdressers go with the idea of no long hair after 40 :-)

Same for me. Tried for the men's semi final and final, message said unable to process at the moment. Could book for other days tho, so must have been a problem with the days I was after. Managed to book for the same days last year online without a problem- so disappointed not to get them....

Thanks for the info libra1610, just been and got mine! Still a reasonable size range left - I always go down a size or 2 with NYDJ as they have a lot of "give" in them when wearing.

My husband and I both needed new glasses, chose them whilst in the UK, got the model number and then ordered from a UK online site who couriered them over. Was much cheaper to do this if you have your prescription- took around 3 weeks as they had to order them in from Italy, but well worth the wait if you're not in a hurry.

I marked the pool this morning so I can see how much it has fallen by, 2cm in 11 hours. It does seem like to much to only be evaporation. I've told the swimming pool mainteneace company the figures now and they are coming tomorrow to check things out. Thanks for your advice ladies.

Definitely haven't got a leak in the water system anywhere as the water meter doesn't run unless the water is on. Pool company are telling me topping up as they do (2.5 hours today) is normal. Any idea how I get a possible swimming pool leak investigated?

I used Cool and Cool maintenance for a leak who came out on a Friday when others wouldn't- might be worth a try if its still leaking. The number I've got is for Aleem on 0503509291.

derien: we currently pay 600/month for maintenance. When we had the smaller pool it was 250/month. Add the water charges, approx 1600 onto that and it is quite costly...

A male golden retriever has just bolted into my house when I opened the door! Checked with all the neighbours in the area and no one knows him- very friendly but no id tags. Can keep him in the garage overnight- don't know if that's the right thing to do in case someone is out looking for him or perhaps he knows his way home, but don't feel right letting him loose to wander when he doesn't seem to be from Hattan. Too late to take him to vets to see of they can trace him from the chip, and out all day tomorrow, so can't do it then. Please help/advise ladies.

Betti, this happened with one of my dogs and I was so worried that something had gone really wrong and she was very ill. However they assured me it was simply that she was still drowsy and it would be best if she stayed overnight. When I picked her up the next day she was absolutely fine. In fact, I think it was probably easier on her to stay where she is, settled and contained and given more time to rest and recover. Having experienced other dogs and cats being spayed, picking them up in the afternoon, getting them in the car and trying to settle them down at home, I think I would rather they stay overnight if possible. I'm sure it's easier on them and to be honest, as I hate seeing them in pain/uncomfortable, it was definitely easier on me. <em>edited by mmpico on 21/02/2012</em>

Just found out I need to get the children's birth certificates attested by UAE Ministry by Foreign Affairs to renew their residency. No idea how to go about this.... Is there an agency that can do it for me? One is a UK certificate, the other USA.

If you have your Blackberry with Du, you can activate and deactivate international roaming online rather than having to go and fill a form out personally.

I've stayed there but it was about 8 years ago so this is old advice. It was a very quite resort set on an idyllic beach. I chose Kata to be away from the madding crowd and it was perfect for that. The hotel was really nice, and we loved the holiday there (also went to Phi Phi from there). The downside was that we had to go half board, it was the only option when we booked and I would not recommend that. The breakfast was great but the dinner was pretty poor, as was the entertainment. We went out most night to Karon or Phuket town, easy done with the tuk tuk just outside the hotel.
