This is a "viral" ad for the Cavalli club, its not real. Its purpose is to cause people to talk about the club. Yes on EW most people are shocked but other people will be more WOW I'd love to go there and then go, ie creating more business for the club. That was my first thought when I saw the article in the newspaper. Its a way to get people talking about a club, then they get curious and go to the club. Smart marketing if its true. Agree. It is indeed very clever marketing by Cavalli. For me personally it's just another reason why i should never show my entertainer loving, Groupon Mania, Living Social Deal No 1 fan A$$ in there. For those it does work for will probably be hoping that there is a waiting list to get in. Why? so they can tell their friends that they are on a waiting list to get in the Cavalli Club! Ha ha ha Not my cup of tea but i know people who love this kind of stuff. Each to their own.

Thank goodness the 10% municipality tax & 10% service charge was included otherwise this could have been an outragous amount to pay for just a few drinks!

We've just got back from Sri Lanka with our 2 year old DD and it was perfect! 4 hour flight was fine. We stayed at the Jetwing Beach hotel in Negombo which was a 20 minute ride from the airport. Our room was on the ground floor which was perfect so DD could run out onto the garden. Rooms were gorgeous too and great food selection. We then drove to Bentota and stayed at the Bentota Beach Hotel. The journey took 3.5 hours because of very heavy traffic. DD was fine as there was so much to see on the way but if i'm honest i would have been more than happy to stay in Negombo as the hotel and it's facilities were slightly better.

Last year i asked the butcher at my local spinneys to make me some up & keep them to one side for me. I am in there almost everyday though so i guess he couldn't really say no. Just ask nicely, i'm sure they will :)

We bought DD kitchen from Toys R us for less than 200dhs. She lives in it! You can buy lots of food packs seperatly too very cheap. I don't think kids at that age bother too much about what it looks like, they just want the same things as what mummy has in her kitchen. Worth having a look at anyway

I use linkedin to keep in touch with my clients/contacts. I ONLY accept those who i have been doing business with and also potential clients as we post our weekly blog on there for all of them to read which they find really interesting. Whenever i get a new invite i always do a search in my inbox for their details. If they don't appear i don't accept unless they write me a personal message explaining why they want to join my network. I also use it to find recommendations for people i may be dealing with.

We were there on Saturday morning & there were a couple still available at 10.30ish, although lots of people with boxes, tables, chairs, kitchen sinks walking through the gate behind us so i'd say 9.30-10am to be on the safe side. We saw many people using there own grill too. Not on the grass though

It's still going to be al dhiyafa street as the mess opp dubai mall is still defense roundabout. Yes - and have you been on the road that goes up past the French Bakery - OMG it is horrendous, every night I drive home the street has changed shape! I used to come off SZR there to get home to avoid trade centre roundabout! It's utter madness! Did find a lovely little shortcut though to get me onto Al Wasl Road

I will have the same issue when DD goes to school next year so although you may not be able to do what i do i hope this help and maybe gives you some idea's. I will ask for part time hours and if not given then i will be forced to leave my current employer and find one that does. I don't "love" my job so this is easy for me to do. My rental car will go back so we'll just be using 1 car. This saves a huge amount btw, especially in salik fees! I will ferry DH to work & DD to school and back. We've also decided to take 1 trip back home to UK rather than 2, making a hefty saving! Mini breaks away will stop and we'll make use of what Dubai has to offer. Our weekly dinner together out will not be at Ruth Chris or Legends Steakhouse but probably Aussie legends for a free glass of bubbly & a curry at ravi's in satwa. We won't be employing a nanny/maid so a fair saving there too! Just sharing with you....

Also, start with lukewarm water & bring to the boil. This way the potato cooks evenly. If you use boiling water from the off the outer part breaks off while the middle is still a little raw.

The local, saudi or lebanese potatoes work well for mash. Unfortunately they are not as good for roasting. Agree, I get lovely mash from these spuds. I use a ricer and then mix in lurpack butter until perfect. I only add cream if i've got it in otherwise it's a bit of milk. I also add cracked black pepper to mine but that's just my taste

Molly, are you sure he would want to go? It sounds like you want him to go, and you want him to have some fun.... Just Sain' Oh believe me He does :) He's mentioned it a few times, especially when adverts come on the telly. I also want him to go because he works so hard in the week that he deserves it! Listening to him babble on about it the next day will bring a huge smile to my face so if you think i'm asking for selfish reasons then i guess deep down i am a little :)

I have the same constant problem and it's very frustrating. Unfortunetly some mummies drop their children off at nursery knowing they are ill & of course, within hours, their germs spread around. My nursery had to start temperature checking every child in the morning because it started to get out of hand. These are probably mummies that are so scared of losing their jobs because of having the time off that they think this is the only way & i sympathise with them but it's just not on. They need to find alternative help. Mine just wants lots of hugs when she's ill so TLC all the way

We paid our 5% when we first moved in as a finders fee commission (although found it myself so.....) anyway, when we signed our 2nd year we just had to pay a 160Dhs admin fee. You shouldn't be paying an additional 5% unless it clearly states this in your contract. Good Luck

I make silver cufflinks and can put the hand or footprints of the twins plus names if you think he would wear them or perhaps a keyring or golf ball marker? Just a thought. Love the cufflink idea! Have you got a website or something i can look at as this sounds like a good christmas prezzie for DH
