My DS is going to Palms nursery on jumierah beach road. The nursery is good and the kids are well taken care. He is been there for just about 2 weeks and he seems to be very happy to go, no crying shouting etc..And the fee's is also very reasonable.

We have just employed an Indonesian maid. The agencies name is Al dana labour supply , 042995559. Their service is good. but all their indonesian maids are arabic speaking. So we have decided to learn arabic rather than teaching the maid english :).

Thanks for all your responses. Well went to an agency named Al Najem services. They had around 50 CV's of indonesian maid. Started enthusiastically and well when we ware 10 Cv's past, me and hubby looked at each other with the same Q, how are we going to select a maid to stay based on her height, weight, marital status and no of children!!!!? knowing nothing of experience, if she will be good with kids etc.... Well , we did "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" !!!!! and decided on 10 CV's. The guy from the agency said that u can choose from the 10 and decide on any 1 and start the visa procedure. DH was like Dont we get to speak to them?!?!, the guy says they speak arabic only. Now new problem, we are an English speaking family , how do we converse with an arabic speaking maid??? Loaclly we tried to find a maid , and all we got were Srilankan maids who was without any proper doc. Do any one here know of an indonesian maid who can ATleast speak basic of English and whoz good.

My city select had lost its ubar for the car seat adapter (my carelesness ) and a very nice lady from the forum gave me hers. Thank you sooo much. I had forgotten to order for my second set of braketts to make it a twin. Got in touch with a org that supplies baby jogger stuff. They are located at silicon oasis and they bring in the stroller / accessories from the US. The outlet is called Mapyr dot com. very good service based on my experience :)

Well I believe the most difficult times are between 2 and 5 yrs and when they reach their teens. At both these ages LO's tend to do the exact opp of what we ask them to do !!!!! My exp with 4 with the eldest 13 and youngest 6 months :)

That's the point!!! The other day DS ( who's 4months) wore a very cute baby pink jumper with little heart motifs to the mall and most of the people goes , ooooo..... She is soo cute! When it got irritating , I told it's a he and the lady goes pink is for girls!!!!! edited by Mom.an.me on 08/02/2012

I have a CityMini and bought some sort of a bassinet attachment from someone on Dubizzle last year. It came with some u-bar things for the carseat attachments, so I wonder if it would work for you? You are welcome to try. Where are you located/how can we meet up? Thanks sobevan, i am located at Al barsha near MOE. Can u email me your contact on [email protected]. Finger crossed that it works :).

Just a thought if you're on a tight budget - what about a Frog or a Gecko? They're essentially the same buggy, just older versions (the Frog was pre-Cameleon and the Gecko the one before that). There are a few differences but probably not so many you'd really notice much. I saw a Frog on Dubizzle last week for around 700dhs, I think. was in touch with your friend last week, but hadn't got a chance to meet with her, since i work 5 days a week :(. That to was a frog bassinet with the chaiss which was the chameleon. She has asked for 1200. Would love to get the bugaboo chameleon though.

I had my DS in the bassinet of the Pliko for 7 months and I was able to fold it in the bassinet mode and even fit it in a small boot of my Peugeot for first couple of months Loved the pram Had to take the sunshade off when folding but I didn't have to unzip Only did it when I moved my DS facing forward Maybe you would like to check with a Mamas and Papas shop why your pram doesn't fold in the bassinet mode because you should be able to do it HTH Will check out with M & P on this, but DS is a little large baby at 4 months and feel a little congested on the bassinet mode. @ILOVECHOOS would love to but my budget is very limited. whats the last price? cold u please tell me the accessories that come with me > could drop a mail on shabeena31 at yahoo dot com. Anyone interested in my M & P pliko its in cityscape. comes with matching diaper bag. edited by Mom.an.me on 12/11/2011

Thanks for your thought. will check out the bugaboo bee. Am using the Mamas and papas pliko, good pram, lightweight all that , but for my infant bassinet mode, i have to zip it down . Ondoing all ready for the bassinet , baby is up cause it takes 10 min to do. Zip , buttons, move the sunshade etc, to fold it is another 5-10 min job cause the pram does not close in the bassinet mode, has to be sat upright!!!!!!, hence looking for an alt, tried the quinny but found it heavy, thought with the bugaboo, i could use the maxi cosi. and by the way the car seat of the pliko is very heavy!!!. By any chance are u selling your bugaboo???
