My son goes to raffles international school. We are very happy there. He is in kg2 now. Both the teachers(kg1 and Kg2) have been very good.

We found an apartment in belleville area. Can you please tell how is that area regarding safety and convenience for public transport. I have also booked for Paris but we will be in France for 3 weeks. I have 3 boys so getting hotels were difficult to find as most only allow 2 kids. I found a few great websites to book apartments airbnb, holidaylettings.co.uk and ownersdirect.co.uk Some of the apartments offer a parking space so you can filter those that do. We love staying around La Defense, you get the metro station within 10 minutes and the RER line gets you to Disney in under an hour. It is not so busy in that area but Paris centre in only 15 min or so by metro. There is also a huge shopping centre next to the train station with a massive supermarket called Auchan. We are spending a week in La Defense but used to live there before Dubai. We are planning a trip to Europe in the end of June. We will be staying in Paris for 3 nights. Need help regarding hotel recommendations, must visit places, etc. We are thinking of getting an apartment kind of accommodation. Anyone have any recommendation for it. Must be a safe location. also it will be good if I can get some idea of which locations are convenient and safe to stay for a family. We have a 4 year old son with us. Not thinking of spending too much on accommodation. Also confused whether to take parispass or just a museum pass and hop on hop off bus tour pass will do. For one day we will be going to Disneyland too. All other tips which you think one must know before going to Paris are welcome. Sorry for so many questions.. TIA Mona

Thanks Emurella for your reply. I think I should take the ParisPass. One more advise needed ladies regarding disneyland. Should we buy the tickets for both parks. DS is 4 years old. DH and I are least interested in the scary roller coaster rides. And in anyway we will not be able to cover both the parks in one day.

My son started stuttering at some words when he was 3.5 years old. He was very talkative for his age. I was also very worried like you for that. Then I did some research on internet and came to know that this is quite common specially in boys during this age and it will go away itself after some time (may be a month), if not then go to speech therapist. In a month the stuttering was minimum. Then after few days he just started speaking normally. During this time we have to ignore the problem and not try to correct him all the time.

I had sit n stroll car seat which is FAA approved and I used it many times on flights with my son since he was 18 months old till he was 3 years old. It was really worth it. We never had any problem in flights and he always slept comfortably in it. It was easy to carry as it was like stroller and when you want to convert it into carseat the wheels go inside. So on airport also it helped a lot as a stroller. I bought it from centrepoint in Abu dhabi 2.5 years back. Dont know if it is still available there.

You can have marhaba family service on dubai airport. They will meet you at airport entrance with porter service. So you will not have to carry luggage. They will do the check in and all so you dont have to stand in que. And they will drop you and the boarding gate in a cart. You can get a stroller for your elder one on the airport and can keep your little one in baby carrier. As for in the flight I would say if possible buy a seat for your little one too as it would be difficult to hold him for such a long time.

Its very normal. They will outgrow it by the time they are 4-4 1/2. Their minds work so fast and their vocabulary cant keep up with it at this age. It more prevalent in boys too. I have boys,so I have seen them go through this. Dont worry. Thanks a lot for your reply. That was quite reassuring. Actually I was little worried about this but now after reading your experience I feel that this is just normal. Thanks again.

This for the first time I am traveling alone with my son and I will be having lots of luggage that's why I was looking to book the marhaba service. Thanks to all the ladies for your kind help. I have finally booked their family meet and greet service. Will definitely share how my experience goes with them. edited by monabish on 14/03/2013 My mum arrived and was greeted as soon as she entered the terminal. She didn't have to go through all the long lines and was fast tracked through eye scan and passport control. There was a lady who assisted her and a porter who had her luggage when we met her at the meeting point. She said it was nice that she didnt have to wait and she also felt important :) Hope you have a nice experience with them! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. That really helps. I too wish I have a nice experience with them. Thanks again edited by monabish on 15/03/2013

I sometimes wonder if it's just a matter of who's working that day. (meaning how efficient are the agents on that particular shift) I've done a search on here and think I've heard good and bad about all the meet & greet companies available. I have personally used Marhaba four different times now and they always worked out perfect. And yet other people have shared awful experiences with Marhaba. Based on this I guess it makes me assume that a bad experience can happen with any of the meet & greet companies. I too have heard both good and bad experiences about Marhaba. As people don't mention which service they took(bronze, silver or family) that may be the reason why their experiences differ. And yes a bad experience can happen with anyone.

Thanks a lot ladies for the replies. One more thing I want to ask is that as I am travelling with my 3 year old son, do I have to pay for two for the marhaba silver meet and greet service?

I am actually looking for marhaba service for departure from Dubai. I have an evening flight(16:45) from terminal 1. Does anyone know how busy is the airport at that time? Would I actually need marhaba service or is it easily manageable without that? Can I get a stroller for DS there?

I didn't get any stretch marks during pregnancy nor did I ever feel itchiness over my belly. My belly button never popped out. I got very few light stretch marks few months after the delivery. My mum never had them even after two babies.

Thanks ladies.. DH finally found it somewhere yesterday. Although it is a big task to give it to a 3 year old(it is a capsule), we finally managed to give it to him after few vomits. He is doing better now. Yesterday it was very heartbreaking to see him in such high fever(40.5). Today after 2 doses of tamiflu he is feeling much better now.

My son had assessment there for KG1 this week. They said they have a long waiting list and we should expect an answer from them by the end of march. Just keeping my fingers crossed. I was there with him during the assessment as he was getting little uncomfortable there. In few things he did very well while in others he just didn't give correct answers even though I knew he knows them very well. Can anybody share their experience with the assessment process?

I actually gained weight while breastfeeding. The weight I lost immediately after delivery was soon gained after few months of breastfeeding. I finally lost my extra weight after I stopped breastfeeding.
