Welcome to Dubai! It’s true that many schools keep kids indoors during the hotter months, but facilities vary. Some have indoor gyms or activity rooms, though not all use them daily. It might be worth checking with the school—your kids might not mention the short breaks they do get!

It’s totally understandable to feel that way, especially coming from the UK where outdoor play is more common. In Dubai, due to the extreme heat during the summer months, many schools do keep kids indoors for safety reasons. Some schools may have indoor play areas, but it's also common for kids to stay in their classrooms or have lunch there, especially when temperatures are soaring. Schools here often have air-conditioned spaces and other indoor activities to keep the children engaged. It might take some adjusting, but rest assured, your kids are in a safe and supportive environment while the heat makes outdoor play tough!

Sounds lovely! I’ve been looking to connect with new people in the area—this looks like the perfect chance. Thanks for organizing these, EW team!
