I had my birthday last year at medzo.... there was 25 of us.. it will be a set menu but you can change a few things to suit your tastes... did a good deal on the bevages department too... one of my fave places in Dubai. We had the whole terrace area... decorated it with fairy lights and white lilles and candles it looked magical ! talk to rhodes at Wafi he is the head guy that looks after carters and medzo.

Howdra. They are super easy, do what they're told and all speak english very well. Alternatively, isn't there an agency that specializes in eco-cleaning, ie no harsh detergents? quinn are you for real ??possibly the worst cleaners i have had here, going through the last two weeks of said contract with them.

sorry to rehash an old thread, We have aken on Howdra as our cleaning services once a week, it was good at first, but to be honest the cleaning has subsided completely. With Saturday just gone completely loosing it on the phone with the so called “ supervisor” 3 hours and she hadn’t done a lot, changed the sheets on one bed, and wiped the kitchen, basic a vacuumed and mopped the floor. Spare bed hadn’t been touched even though she had been asked to change the linen, spare bathroom ask for it to be cleaned again nothing had been touched. No ironing, no microwave, no ironing. They sent two other girls out to finish what she hadn’t done, they spent another 3 hours in cleaning what she hadn’t done, even admitted that it didn’t look like she had dusted the living area or our bedroom. The other rife I have with them is that they DEMAND payment within 7 days of invoice or your service will be cut. The email that is sent is appalling to say the least if I said that to even of my clients they would take business elsewhere conducting an email at the moment to them, not impressed with the company at all. Stepping down of the soap box now! As anyone else had a hard time with them ?

Trust me been living here eight years... i shop around alot for groceries, even use the fruit and vege market, has nobody else found that the price of groceries increases...

brought carefully the other day at the supermarket, 3 reusable bags full of veg mostly 900 AED nearly fell on the floor ! so yes the cost of everything has increased significantly lately, pity i dont see a pay rise for either of us coming anytime soon! edited by Mrsbrown nz on 15/04/2013 Were they all European-grown vegetables? some as they where berries, however alot where local... plus i buy all the time from Ripe... <em>edited by Mrsbrown nz on 15/04/2013</em>

love dubai sorry to tell you but i have been there done that got the tshirt, unfortunetly its the risk you take moving into villas with other expats. you can share in apartments i believe but not villas. you must be the same *** however no boys and girls are allowed to share a residence unless married or related. We got told to move out within a week! good luck with finding somewhere and getting some money from the landlord <em>edited by Mrsbrown nz on 08/04/2013</em>

I have just complained about two taxis in the space of a morning, they kept tail gating me and the other tailgating another member of the public. The RTA rung took down the details and rung me a few days later telling me the drivers had been spoken to accordingly. A friend of mine has been in a serious car accident with a taxi driver too. Epileptic fit his foot hit the accelerator straight into a lamp post a few years ago.

best italian for me is MEDZO, great original italian food, excellent wine list, service is impeccable and the lady there is a delight, so willing!! Agreed Vivette... a personal fav... along with Prime at Meydan and the rib room - for a bit of meat,

I think that truffles are really revolting if not made with the finest chocolate. Be careful where you buy them from, or ask Izzy to make them for you. who is izzy? CA - now look what you have done !!!! :\: mmm if you are going where i think you are going with the help movie that is just wrong !

I havent had a single issue I have a fridge here, and mum has her fisher and paykel dish drawers, fridge and washing machine for years and no probs ... didnt know they made ovens sound like they should have just stuck to the white wear... the quality isnt what is used to be as it used to be all nz made now it is all done in the phillipines.
