‘Hello everyone. This is a desperate mother’s call for help. Since last few years, my daughter (who is born in UAE) started having some white patches on her back. The part becomes very smooth with very white toned area. Met many doctors, who initially said it’s due the severe dry skin/lack of vitamin D and asked us to keep using moisturizing /prescribed some medicine. But unfortunately since last year it started growing all over her body, her full chest/legs/arms are covered with small/big white/discolor patches. She is going to be 10yrs next month. She always wears fully covered dress & leggings so that nobody is aware of her situation. Very few notices her changes but once it will start coming on her face/neck/hand people will notice more. I am particularly worried that she will be or is currently bullied or cornered in school for her skin disease. She has almost no friends. I'm extremely depressed by watching my little girl feeling uncomfortable (shy away) as days passes by. She was very good in are studies, always ranked 1st or 2nd but unfortunately she isn’t doing well anymore since last semester, its affecting her studies and her behavior too. She has almost no friends. We have a doubt that it’s growing towards 'VITILIGO' but never made her aware of it. We always try to give her confidence and try to make her feel its normal no big deal. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP US. Can anyone recommend a good & reliable skin specialist or Ayurvedic doctor/clinic in Abu Dhabi? Not keen to have to go up to Dubai, but I will if needs be. if you've had personal experience of this doctor/clinic, your feedback would be great in helping me find my way. Thanks!’
