I have used Dr Reichter at Health Bay Polyclinic. She is German. She diagnosed and sorted my problem. She seemed very knowledgeable and well informed. .

I have just started using Dermalogica tinted moisturiser and can highly recommend. I wanted something that felt fresh with a bit of daytime coverage and an SPF. Bought it in Boots at MoE AED199

http://www.internationallawoffice.com/Newsletters/detail.aspx?g=5efc9070-7bf5-4cd0-a979-20369d495a26 this link will give you the formal definition and also the variances depending on the contract type and jurisdiction. It also provides details of what can be classed as "force majeure" Most developers here in the UAE use AMENDED versions of FIDIC - usually amended in their favour. Your contract needs to be checked out by a lawyer familiar with construction contracts and UAE law. I wouldn't take anyone unqualified persons view on this as as it will need full review of the contract terms and conditions.

I had a child attend for a few months 2 years ago. On visits it seemed to 'tick all the boxes" but the reality was very different and I didn't feel they delivered on anything very well at all. Maybe it has changed but In our experience there are far superior, better established nurseries in the area.

Both myself and my husband have had good experience with the dentists at Dr Michael's on Al Wasl Rd. http://www.drmichaels.com I saw Dr. Christina Friis-Moeller and my husband has seen Dr Gun. I can highly recommend both. They also have a separate hygienist.

A few years back they appeared in our apartment! Horrible! After using the spray cochroach killer and a pack of stuff from Choitram I decided to get pet control in! We used Al Kenouz Pest Control. 04 823338. (just got their name from the classifieds in the paper) The guy that came explained that they can come from anywhere - hidden in fruit cartons, fly in or up through drains and it's no reflection on how clean / dirty your house is! He also said that the sprays, etc that you can buy don't get rid of them. As Amelia mentioned he put little dots of a brown gel in kitchen cupboards, in corners, under the countertop - almost unnoticeable with no odour or fumes it was like a small glue gun. Cockroaches were gone over night - never saw another one ever! Good luck. edited by MrsO on 04/07/2011

Hi PS, I'd be interested in the tickets for 10:30 if they are still available. Which row/ seats? Thanks Hi all, I bought 4 tickets (2 adults/2 kids) for Friday's 10:30am show @ The Madinat Theater. However, I totally forgot my daughter has a party so I need to sell them. If anyone is interested please let me know. The cost is 135 per adult and 100 per child. Best Rgds, PS

If your kids are in the right age group you could try using the smaller booster type seats. You can fit 3 of these across the back seat. Www.Bubblebum-me.com

I would also recommend a HP. I have an HP Deskjet 3050 which is wireless and easy to set up - you need to have wifi in your house though.... The one thing I would advise though is to make sure that you can get the replacement cartridges easily - both colour and black and white.... and buy a load of them with the printer! There always seems to be supply problems in Dubai. I used to have a Lexmark 3-in-1 and it was brilliant but I couldn't get the cartridges anywhere in Dubai! I bought mine in Sharaf DG edited by MrsO on 16/04/2011

Hi AdviceSeeker Yes - I tend to use them all! I'm studying so I use the iMac as my main computer and keep all my information on it (with a back up) I probably use it the most for research and writing assignments. I use the ipad more for the fun things! As another poster said - it is like a companioon... you can surf, etc while watching tv! I'm using the macmini connected to the main tc so we can stream, download and watch, etc. When he get some time DH says he is going to rip his dvd collection to the mini.... we wants to be be fully digital! :-) All valid points! @mrsO do you use your IMAC and macMini much now that you've got an ipad?

I have an iPad and an iPhone 4! ( and an iMac and a macmini and an iPod) The main benefit of the iPad is the size if the screen which makes surfing websites and writing emails so much easier. Also great for watching movies and playing games and I've used in quite a bit for reading PDF files with the iBooks! Great for quick and easy access as you don't have to wait for the computer to boot up! I keep it in the kitchen and it's so handy to look something up without having. To go to a computer! My 2.5 year old loves it too.... Some great app to keep the wee'uns entertained. Also love the iPhone. I carry it everywhere but mainly use it for the phone, text, calendar, quick email updates, camera, photo album, calculator, currency exchange! So the excuse I'd use to buy them both is - iPad is too big to carry about all the time but fantastic to surf, read, etc. iPhone is so many things in your pocket/handbag!

I haven't had anything like that done but I have been to see the dermatologist at Healthbay Polyclinic - German lady, and she was very good. She certainly knew what she was talking about. I was asking about laser treatment for brown freckle-like pigmentation and she had quite a lot of experience of it not being sucessful in Germany and wasn't worth it. Might be worth a visit.

There is a 2-4-1 special deal on tomorrow at Anise at the Inercon Dubai Festival City. If you "like" their Facebook page you can access the vouchers! http://www.facebook.com/InterContinentalDubaiFestivalCity I think you have to phone for a reservation first and confirm you are using the voucher. It's a great location with a view of the creek and DFC marina 295 for brunch for 2 - 100 extra per person for house beverages edited by MrsO on 17/03/2011

You can convert the nutrition values of the food to the new propoints system if you are a WW online member. Even better if you have an iPhone as their app is fantastic to keep track of your daily intake and calculating points!

http://www.gbdriver.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78_85&products_id=534 I've just been looking for something as I worry if we ever have to take our DD in a taxi... This product seems ideal although I've never seen anyone using it.
