We are relocating to Dubai in Jan 2017 and have been visiting schools for our children
Would love some input from Foremarke parents on the forum.
We visited Foremarke and loved it. Both our children are registered to move to boarding school in the UK at 11+ and we felt that taking that into account, Foremarke was the closest we could find to a British prep school outside of the UK.
They did however promise a lot of things and I was wondering if anyone knew on how good the school was on delivering on those promises so that we can align our expectations accordingly.
To begin with they did say that their swimming pool would be ready by March 2017. It didn't look like the build had even begun but as I am new to dubai and dont know the speed at which things are built.. I thought it would be best to ask.. would that be realistic.
They also mentioned that since most of the children in their school either go back to UK - many to boarding schools - they will (I say will because they will have their first year 6 group in 2016-2017) focus on tools like mock interviews, pre-tests for entrance exams etc. to supplement the curriculum. They even mentioned a counselor at some point to help children with this .Does anyone have any experience or seen this happen?
Sport - how sporty is it? Apart from the swimming pool - it seemed like all other facilities were up and running but due to the newness of the school - We thought perhaps it isn't as competitive in sports especially with other schools and is still finding its ground..
Any input on any or all of the above points will be much appreciated.
