Hi, we are planning a birthday party in the beginning of March for our son who turns 5. Can you recommend a party organizer, plz? Furthermore we would like to hire around 22 children chairs and 8 children tables as well as 2 normal tables for the cake, food, drinks etc. Can you suggest from where I can hire these chairs and tables? TIA!

Thanks Ladies for your informations I am living on the palm so Mirdif would be a very long way. I would like not spend all our money just for school as it is expensive in the further years as well. I googled "Foremark Hall" but could not find any school under this name....May, is there somebody and can help? The other schools of the KHDA I called, but they are full and have long waiting lists. Sometimes they will not open the lists for the next year. What to do????

I also second Children's Oasis, fantastic teachers and very warm environment. I toured almost all nurseries, and I like Children's Oasis the most:) My child never cried there from day 1:) I am a very overprotective mum and this nursery has given me peace of mind!! The problem is with Children's Oasis is that waitlists can be massive, so you have to write down ur child ASAP and be flexible with their timings until you get a place. As for the other two, I did not visit rising stars, but I toured Cocoon's Island and I advise you to stay away from them! Good luck Thx. I would also like to know why you advise me to stay away from Cocoons Island? In which branch from Childrens Oasis have you been?

Yes, the Springs 7 nursery is Montessori. There is another nursery in Springs at the Town Centre - this one is not Montessorie. We really liked the nursery and our son is starting there in September. He has just turned three so will do one year at the nursery and then move to the South Campus in Umm Seqeim. I have heard really good things about the Lakes nursery also although it is not Montessori. The nursery at South Campus is Montessori. Good luck! Thanks! Hope I will also find a nice nursery for my little son as well as his little sister. Do you also hear good things about the Springs 7 nursery?

There are Raffles Nurseries in Springs, Lakes and Umm Seqeim along with two Raffles Schools in Umm Seqeim. My daughter did KG1 at Raffles Nursery in Springs and then went on to the Raffles South Campus for KG2 onwards. You get automatic entrance to the Raffles school if you attend the Raffles nursery so no stressing out about assessments. Some other schools in those areas are Dubai British School (Springs), Emirates International School (Meadows), Dubai International Academy and Regent (both near Lakes), Dubai American Academy and American School of Dubai (both in Al Barsha). Hope this helps. Thanks for your reply to my question. You write that your daughter visited Raffles Nursery in Springs. Is it the montessori one? How was your satisfaction about this Nursery?

Hi Ladies, as I have got really good infos from you I have a new question. As we are thinking about whether it is better to rent a villa or an appartement (4 bedroom). We have two little children and I would prefer a villa. Now we want to know for what we have to pay additional charges (e.g. water, energy, AC) and how much they are on average. I would be appreciated if somebody can give us some infos. Thanks in advance :-)

http://www.jebelalinursery.com/ One of the long established nursery's here. They have branches in the Lakes, Meadows, Umm Sequim and JBR. Soon opening another in JLT. They offer timings up to 5pm. Highly recommend them. And which branch could you recommend?

Thanks for your answers. I think I need opening hours until 3 pm. We are thinking about to live in Springs, Meadows, Lakes or Al Barsha. As you have written maybe it will be the best to look for a school for my 3 years old one. Could you recommend schools in this area?
