Hi benoir, I am in exactly the same situation as you I get told everyday that my 16 month old is small for her age and she's not as plump as other kids in the family but from about 6 months she has been very active and literally burns off morsel of food she eats. In terms of development she is doing very well masha'Allah. The advice I would give you is if you are satisfied with his development and how active he is then don't worry I know it's easier said than done because I blamed myself for a long time asking myself questions like did I breastfeed enough? Do I feed her enough? But you are only going to drive yourself crazy. So enjoy him being active and if you are really worried take him to see a health visitor (I don't know the UAE equivalent) and check his weight on a monthly basis but I, myself grew tired of hearing "she's healthy and very active" so don't worry yourself instead take time to groom your little genius :)

Hi Believe it or not these feelings are considered normal, being pregnant for the first time you can't help but think of all the things that will change for the worst but instead of dwelling on them try and think of the positive changes that will take place, such as a beautiful little person giving you so much joy, picking a name daydreaming about what their personality will be like once they get to a certain age. You may feel bad for feeling like this but it will pass and I hope you can concentrate on the good times ahead oh and btw once you feel that baby move I'm sure you will feel a bit better. I hope that this helps and best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy :)

I bought the mamas and papas zoom which is similar to the sola but its a 3 wheeler, it's very lightweight and compact when folded so its worth a look I'd say.

I rarely ever sign in to comment on topics but I really wanted to say how much I love this masha'Allah. It's a beautiful poem but also each verse is a little anecdote to what we perceive as daily problems and individually you can use each one to lift you. Thank you for posting and although I'm not fasting this year due to pregnancy this is a wonderful reminder of how special this blessed month is. Insha'Allah we all make the most of this holy month and continue it for the rest of the year and beyond. Thanks again

Thank you busybee2 you really are very helpful on this website... I will try and complete it here as I don't think I will have that much time to spend on learning out there.

Hello ladies, Congratulations to all you lovely ladies on your pregnancies...... I am due 12th November (insha'Allah) with my second child, quite worried as I have a very active daughter (masha'Allah) who will be 19 months by the time the baby is born, moving to Abu Dhabi from London after I have the baby due to complications with my first labour and delivery. This is another reason I'm a little worried. Funnily enough my midwife has already told me I will be over due as I was overdue by 11 days before but this time I wouldn't mind being 8 days overdue as my baby and husband would end up having the same birthday lol which would be quite nice. Looking forward to the move (insha'Allah) and my children being able to enjoy themselves. Also this time round I'm finding it difficult to find a name I like my husband has the boy's names covered but I haven't found girl's names that I love so the search continues :)

Hi No, I don't have a licence yet I'm working on it here in the UK, but I'm just trying to find out what the process would be like if I run out time to finish it here. Thank you

Hello SA_babe, Thank you for the welcome I'm sorry for the late response, come to think of it what you're saying is true once I've got used to the routine of having two children, it won't give me much time for anything else unless I find a nanny. How long have you been living in AD? I'm just wondering for all the ladies on here with children how easy it is to do day to day things with the kids, without the convenience of walking I say this because where I live now everything is within walking distance and I enjoy taking the pram out with my daughter and I'm constantly hearing Abu Dhabi is a driver's city so I'm thinking no more leisurely strolls round the neighbourhood. Sorry I waffled on abit I think it's the hormones or the anxiety that the move is drawing ever closer.

Thank you busybee2 for the info, also I was reading on the many forums I read now that al reef has no shops nearby so I was curious are there supermarkets and butchers nearby. Also do the supermarkets deliver to the houses like they do in the UK. Thanks again ladies

Hi danielle77, I will be moving from London and leaving a big family network so I'm nervous.... But thank you for invitation I will definitely take you up on that offer, I'm hoping to do the CELTA once I get to AD. I heard that al reef has a lot of families so I'm looking forward to hopefully meeting some women that are in the same situation as me.
