Hi Ladies, Im not sure when I am due but it will be either end of July or early August and seeing as nobody in the August group talks, I thought I would come here! I have a 9 month old little lady already and this will be our second. I think it is a boy but of course it is just mothers instinct and not a fact as it is too soon for me to know I am going to do the tour of Zahra hospital in the next few weeks so hoping that it is wonderful so I fdont have to go to City again as it is not as close as it was for me with the 1st baby as I have moved. Hope you are all feeling well MOM x

Just wondering when that miracle happens ? My ds is 4 months old and still wakes up every 3 if I'm lucky then 4 hrs to feed.....wondering when sleeping through the night happens and what can I do to encourage it. Try giving a drop of water at night, sometimes they only wake out of habit and not because they are hungry. If you give him water and he doesnt really want it then he is probably just waking out of habit

We have sold our car because we are leaving the country, and have a Salik credit. They say we cannot get a refund and cannot transfer it either. Sounds completely unfair, especially as you have to keep a positive balance at all times! Is there any way to dispute this? Nope. You cannot transfer and you cannot get a refund. You can use it within 3 years if you come back but otherwise you lose it

My mum used to live in a 2 bed in the springs, when me and DH went round there with the 2 ugs, it was a nightmare. No space for breathing! I dont know how people live in those with kids!

I have a mannequin, it's a bit wobbly but can be fixed I'm sure. If anyone wants it's yours for free. Do you know what size it is? ALso, is it a shop display or a clothe making one? Thanks Moo x

Oh I wish I had a nice Epi to help me along- stayed at home for 40 hours odd until i was 7cm dialated, then I couldnt take it any more so went to hospital. They kindly broke my waters for me (THE most excrutiating pain I have ever endured) before telling me that my daughter was nice and comfy and I would be prepped for a C section if she wasnt out after 12 hours. 6 hours later I had the Epi in preparation for the C section, 5 hours 59 minutes later I had my girl. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute I shall be having an Epi this time, immediately, unless i can manageone of these dreamy speedy births you gilrs have!!

You will get so many different opinions here..... My humble opinion is dont do that - you can make appointments until you know when you need them. You might take weeks to fall pregnant, you might take years, in which case the Dr you want may not even be here by then I would look into Drs you may like and make a short list after doing your research and then just wait until you are pregnant and see who has time to see you. See what options are close to where you live and go from there, you do not want to be living in Jebel Ali and going to DHCC for checks for example as it is tiring later in pregnancy I personally went to Genesis clinic in DHCC for my scans and then Dr Britt at City for checks at 20, 24, 28, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39 week checks.

For me, no, and the fact you are even asking suggests you know the answer but it is your choice. I would NEVER have someone I was not 100% happy with in my home whilst I have child/children there

Hello ladies. I am searching for a good Chinese medicine practitioner who also speaks fluent English, in Dubai. I have been suffering from lower back pain and fatigue and physiotherapy, chiropractor, yoga, and massages just don't seem to help. From a search online I have self diagnosed myself with weak kidney energy but now need a good doctor to confirm it and "fix" me. Any recommendations? Also, do you know the rates? As this obviously isn't covered by my insurance. Thanks! My insurance covers Chinese herbal remedies, Acupuncture etc http://www.dubaihtc.com/traditional-chinese-medicine-tcm-dubai-herbal-holistic-medicine-treatment-acupuncture-tuina-acupressure-cupping-massage-laseracupuncture/ Try here.

We gave our maid a blackberry and a laptop so she could Skype her family. She uses our WIFI and has never abused this. She is very grateful to be able to communicate with her family and we are happy that she doesnt feel so far away from them If your maid is happy then she is less likely to look for another job or mis treat her employers in anyway. Just my opinion.

Congratulations Your notes will say no C section (unless necessary) so there is no reason why she would try and push one onto you. You will only need to pop to the hospital to make sure everything is ok in the 38th week and if the baby comes early then it is unlickely you will need a c section as your body will be kicking it out naturally so try not to worry too much. I dont know anything about Dr Deb as I had Dr Britt for my first and she was around when I needed her. I would have gone with someone else if she was planned to be away the last few weeks of my pregnancy

http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/2013/03/12/peds.2012-2896.full.pdf Medical professionals in countries where routine circumcision does not take place do not believe there are valid reasons to circumcise...how is it that in these countries, intact boys and men seem to get by just fine? I respect your opinion Mumofmoo, and also maintain mine, as a mum who did circumcise but now regrets it. My own mum is a medical professional who believed it was the right thing to do simply because of how she was trained...doesn't mean it is right. Sorry, was directing most my last post to the OP - everyone has different opinions about it so best to research yourself with proper medical facts and not internet junk on random sites

Having spoken to over a dozen different people in the Medical proffession about the subject, I maintain my opinion I do not look on the internet, you can find anything you seek on the internet and any argument against the last thing you read. If you want to read about it, I would suggest reading published medical journals edited by mumofmoo on 19/01/2014

Congratulations How do you know you are around 4 weeks? Is that your best guess according to your last period? First, I would go to your GP for a blood test to see how far gone you actually according to your HCG levels in your blood (you might be surprised) , then you can book a 12 weeks scan with a Dr of your choice either at City and stay with them the whole time, or somewhere else near by that can do the scans and blood tests that you will need in the first 20 weeks before transferring to your Dr at City

Congratulations! They do not advise on what to eat because every culture is differnet and have different diets etc. Personally, I eat everything I normally eat. The only thing I avoid is seafood from somewhere new - for exapmlpe, I wont eat seafood at a brunch or a new place I dine at, just in case As for exercise, you can do what you normally do, but you will probably be a bit tired for the first trimester and will slow down anyway The urine tests are for infection, bacterias, PH level etc. Blood tests are for blood group, glucose level, Thyroid, Hep B, HIV, Toxoplasma, Rubella etc My insurance covers NT scans

Funny, DH and I are the same. I am for it, he is against it. Should I be having a boy, he will be circumsised Firstly it is cleaner and more hygenic Secondly, as an adult, it lowers the change of cervical cancer in his wife/girlfriends (I read some recent studies about this), I think it looks nicer and having spoken to a few people I know who have had the op later in life, they said it is better without

It is the people that cross when your car is almost upon them and then they cross slowly with their ipod headphones in or on their phone and expect you to slam on in the middle of the road. I work in the DIFC and there is a crossing but do people use it? nope they step out into the road a meter further down than the crossing? go figure edited by sarahlou123 on 16/01/2014 I work in building 3. There is one crossing from here to currency house which is often where people have parked. I park my car and walk to the office and there is no crossing for me on the way, I dodge cars (although it is not buys when I start) so its not as easy as using a crossing

Thank you all ladies. I dont feel pressued to have natural for the next one, only from myself. Provided there is nothing worng then I feel lazy having a C section as it is convenient and far less scary for me I feel terrible for those without the choice too which makes me feel like I should also do what my body is for because I can and lots of people wish they could but cant. Will see how I feel later in the year Thanks again Moo

What's wrong with using a cover??? Aren't the bf-ing ladies embarrassed to get the b00b out? I've bf loads in public and always used a cover - no one wants to see my engorged veiny milk-swollen b00bs and I don't want to flash either! However discreetly you do it, it is impossible not to show a bit of nip when you're getting them to latch on, never mind putting yourself away afterwards. I've sat in plenty of coffee shops bf-ing and there are loads of nice covers you can get. Why make other people uncomfortable? Regardless of whether it's feeding your baby or not, a b00b is still a b00b and I don't want random weirdo men looking at me while I try to feed my child. Baby latches on under my top and then I move it so no nipple on show for me As for covers, just my opinion but I wouldnt like to eat with a sheet on my head so I wouldnt do it to my bubba well then have some decency and breast feed in private - no one wants to see your boobs... weither nipples is hidden or not. They dont see my boobs and nobody has ever complianed, stared or told me off

I think the way some people dress in the mall is far more offensive then ladies feeding their children. Granted, if the boob was a bit too on show between getting it out and popping it in LO mouth then it could be a little uncomfrotable for all around but once it is in place, drama over.
