Paid by cheque made out to cash. Hey seasand, Thank you for that. But the website does not have that option. It is either bank transfer, paypal or skrill. I am just wondering which one to choose. bank transfer doesnt look like a good option for me, so i am just debating over paypal and skrill :)

its already going on for FS1 But i really wonder how strong do they want a child to be socially fit?? my DD will be re assessed for Social mingling.. kids for FS1 are too young for that kinda assessment.. they are so innocent but still i m longing for the admsn there. I hope in the second assessment she clears it n behave as per their expectations.. thanks How did it go?

As a JAPS parent I am really disappointed by the move away from Jebel Ali all the way out to the bypass road. A lot of parents have moved into the Marina, JP, JA Village, GVV to be near the school and now what?! No thought or consideration given to those who specifically moved into that area to be close to the school and who don't want their kids sitting on a hot bus out to the sticks to an area where there is poor access and poor facilities. Its like moving from the edge of Manhattan to New Jersey. No idea why a suitable place close to the existing school couldn't be found especially with the expansion of border area's and the expo 20/20 expansion. Why build in an area with schools surrounding it and having to use major highways to get there. hello nutty, I see u are an existing parent of JAPS. I would like to know from the parents of JAPS how did u take up this move.. we drove down to the new site of JAPS and it seems very far from the city...

Reading this post brings back awful memories of two years ago at the same school. My son passed the assessment, was waitlisted and we decided to hold out as we were told that he was "top of the waitlist" and unfortunately I did not have a plan b. I only had his name down at that school which was a massive mistake. Horizon were absolutely dreadful to deal with from the Receptionist, to the Registar to the Principal. I remained polite and patient at each step although I made it clear that I was in a tough situation (I was home schooling him from Sep-Dec while waiting for a spot and I also had 3 younger siblings including baby twins at home!). They couldn't care less and were rude and arrogant at every step. Mumonboard, do you have a plan b? I hope so. I have friends at Horizon and none of them are happy there, seriously. Although, the kids seem to like it which I admit is also important. Anyway, sorry, I obviously have a thing against the school. They did eventually offer us a spot but at that point I was bolting in the other direction. We had applied to two other schools as well.. one was a GEMS school (honestly!! i do not know what they are expecting from a 3 yr old..) we dint get a spot there.. (and we dint belong to any of their priority group ). The next one we are waiting for results.. so three schools all together.. Horizon on wait list, one denial, third one: awaiting reply.. fingers crossed!!

We were lucky to actually get a place but my understanding is that they send the offers in "waves" and depending on the acceptances they move to the next "wave" etc. I was told the waiting list is so long that they are not accepting any more applications for FS1 or FS2 2016, so if I were you I'd wait a couple of weeks for the process to play out and then I'd check again to see if you can get an offer by that time or if you stay on the waiting list whereabouts on the list are you, so you can assess the likelihood of getting a place. Congrats!!! We r still stuck.. Will write to them after a week to get an update..thanks?

Hello m0nicaz, I did nursery tours lately.. Sea Shells would be the one i would recommend for you.. But if you are looking for a feeder option to big school. Then try to have a look at Jumeriah International Nursery. They do have priority for assessment/wait-list for Regent.. And you already are on the priority list of Regent as u r stay at Greens :)

Hey sourskittleashnut, Thanks for that.. but what meant is there anybody put here who can giv us an idea as of within how many days of a school opening their registration is it wise to register.. the schools are open for registration for a long period of time.. but for sure not all the applications make it to the waiting list.. If u take up GEMS... They always say that when u put in your application for FS1 and u have no priority like sibling/staff/ corporate then u have no to very very very little chance of being called for assessment.. so ur application gets moved on to the waiting list for FS2. My question was do all the 600+ applications move on to FS2 waiting list ( which I'm sure is not the case) ? So to climb on to the waiting list for FS2 how early should u apply.. gems opened up their registrations on 27 or 28 September.if I apply by 10 or 11 of October how good are my chances to get on the waiting list. In that aspect I wanted to know the time window that gems or in general any school might consider... Coz the other applications are jus mere money making process for schools ??
