Hi munnus, I have lived in a very spacious apartment in the Lake View Tower (Cluster B) for 1 1/2 years now, and if I'm correct your tower is in Cluster C - so I can actually wave to you! I much prefer the generosity of space over here compared to the crowdedness (both in terms of space and people) of the Marina, and even though the general infrastructure is a bit "way behind" the metro bridge provides an easy connection. Wish you a good move to your new accommodation... hello Crystal... i hope we can gather when i move in and wave to each other more closely :D but what do u mean by the infrastructure is way behind the metro bridge?

i live in JLT since 3 yrs now , but not in gold crest , if that can help thanks aline am just try to get to know the community better since i'll be staying there for a year at min. i believe it's a nice affordable place to live in and i hope it stands to my expectations.

Frankly speaking I live since 2 years in JLT and i hate it. The traffic is killing me and i even stop driving to work to avoid queuing in the evening. Few of my colleagues living in the neighbourhood and all are planning to leave JLT as soon as the rent contract is finished. Ok - enjoy taking a walk around the lakes but thats it. edited by Gege_DXB on 25/01/2012 i understand what u mean, but i'm in quite a good proximity to the metro station, so i believe my husband wont be using the car that often since he works in JAFZA. in fact we didn't buy a car yet nor extracted the driving license. but i want to ask u something, where r u intending to go to? dubai marina, the greens and the old town has the same exact problem.

you can do it at Fetal medicine Center 04 360 40 40 , Dubai healthcare City..I had my NT Scan with them , and it was a great experience.within 2 weeks i'll do my 20 weeks scan there. I think it costs around 1000 aed. Good Luck..enjoy last weeks being pregnant..:) thnx serena u r so thoughtful, good luck with ur scan :D

i called fetal medicine to ask about their prices...coz i have my 20 weeks scan in 2 weeks time..Munnus: for 28 weeks, you can just have baby watching 3D/4D..you will get full scan on a DVD for 800 aed. If you want a medical report, then it will cost you 1150 aed including doppler scan and baby watching..Good Prices :)) i believe i'd care for a medical report since i'm not under doctor's supervision here in dubai, am getting back home for delivery in mid of march so i just wanna check on the baby... if u have a contact for this center kindly wld u post it?

Hi I live in JLT too but not Gold Crest. Hope you enjoy living here it has developed a lot since I arrived in 2009. hi :) i'm moving there in the 1st of feb. i believe it's a nice neighborhood but i believe D.marina's rents r falling so they r getting very competitive to JLT... what do u think the best tower in JLT is?

The doctor you're with should have this facility in their clinic or hospital. I did mine at my doc's at Welcare Knowledge Village. Check it out with your clinic. yeah but actually i've been here for only 10 days and going back home for labor in mid of march, so i only need to have a 3D U/S to check on the baby...

I had mine one at the fetal medicine clinic in healthcare city http://www.my-baby.net/. Can't remember how much but around 1,200 for scan plus cd. Worth it to see my bubs though (who, incidentally looked nothing like she did on the scan lol) OMG does the prices vary that much?????????? of course it's worth it to check on the baby but the point is price variation, 500 and 1200 DHS???

Thanks for that.. Its so hard when you’re still far away! I hope it gets easier when I get there and get to look properly.. How long did your residency permit take to be issued? Does it depend on nationality or??? concerning the residency, i actually dont know what it depends on, i didnt have my residency yet, my husband did and it only took him around 5 days. some ppl i know took em like 2 weeks or maybe more... so it's truly clueless... may god be with u... concerning the rental, it will be much easier when u get her (regardless of the dodgy agents) but remember u wont be able to have ur water and electricity account at DEWA unless u have ur residency.

Can anyone recommend an estate agency based on their experience or word of mouth? Moving to Dubai next week..I'm interested in renting a two bedroom appartment but people have been warning me of dodgy agencies. I would appreciate your advise and recommendations.. Many thanks okay let's c... there's coldwell and banker, better homes, emirates real estate; which i personally recommend since i dealt with an agent there who was pretty professional. i dealt with a local agent and sealed a deal with him, yet still the deal itself is not finished, so i'll give u the feedback once it's finished. the ERE agent's name is priya, if u wanna contact her her cell is +971 50 903 7719, despite i dont recommend to search for the flat while u r still abroad. bye :)
