Hi ABC! I just read your post and wondered what has happened since your last post? I have been myself in a very very similar sitution and I can give you some (I believe) very good advices. My "lovely" husband also hid my daugther's passport and some time ago. I am sure he regrets it bitterly now. I am since a year far from him back in my home country. Funny, I just thought, I have an anniversary today - one year since I left him with my child for good... I feel for you as I know how dreadful it feels to be in such a situation. I hope things have evolved in a better for you way...

Thank you! I meant to focus on the things a family with a small child could do on New Year's Eve..... not really on problems.....

Hello ladies! May be some of you have read my previous post which was a while ago. Anyways, I am not going to bore you again with details of my family life. Just will mentions that me and my husband are separated at the moment and he is begging me to try once again with the help of a counselor. Here is why I am writing again. Can anyone recommend a good family counselor in Dubai? Das anyone have experience with counselors with regards of fixing a marriage?

Hi! Its a good idea your friend to consult a lawyer here and in Holland. She should however think very well what will be the benefits of a divorce here if none of them are local. Dubai does not have in most cases law agreements with the European countries. Even if a divorce outcome here would be of a great interest to her it might not be recognized in Holland, i.e. the decisions of Dubai courts might not be recognized by the Dutch court, thererore he will not be bind to paying the support a court here might decide.
