The most horrific experience I've ever had! Went once for some low lights and ended up having to cut my hair really short as the woman damaged my hair so badly it was breaking off! Never again.

I think the correct URL to access the page is https://oasis.gemseducaton.com As per the PO box we don't have one either so I just entered 0000 The only info I can access to at the moment is our details and the payment status. I don't think the photo section actually works.

Hi Betti And welcome to the ranches. The bin is emptied every day except the weekends. The black bin liners are put by the guys who empty the bin; now I don't recall wether the bin liner was in the bin when we first moved in; you can perhaps put it in the first time round and after that it will get emptied and replaced by the workers.

Missteacher on the opposite side of Executive towers there's that Empower Building, behind it there's a black tower called falcon tower. On the ground floor of falcon tower there's a small supermarket called Cesar, I believe they also deliver to you.

044327 I just realised what your budget is and seriously don't go to an apartment as you can afford a really nice villa for that budget. If you are going to come to the ranches look into Mirador, the villas are superb and there's lots of greenery around. Between the lakes and meadows I'd personally go for the meadows, nice villas but don't know how easy it will be to meet other mums/babies as a couple of my friends who lived there said they didn't make any friends there as all the kids were looked after by maids and whenever they went to the pool/park they never saw the mums with the kids but only maids- this is what I was told but can not confirm as don't live there - Anyway good luck

Hi 044327 Two very different areas. The ranches has a nice community feel, it has everything in terms of amenities: supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants, nurseries (although you need to put your little one's name down asap), golf club, gym in motor city which is just across the road, dry cleaners, polo and equestrian club where they also do some baby classes, etc... Provided that you will be driving the ranches is a lovely area and despite many think that it is out of the way, its actually very well connected and I can honestly say that it only takes me 20 mins to get to all the main areas of Dubai from the AR. the majority of people living in the ranches are young families so you will defo get to meet other mothers and babies. Jumeirah is also a nice area, with many shopping malls, supermarkets and schools which makes it handy for when you baby will need to attend. Of course with the beach so close by you 'll be able to get there in a second! If you opt for the umm Suqueim side you'll probably get away without having to drive. Im not sure how much of a community feel you'll get as I haven't lived on that side of Dubai. Ps: in terms of safety the ranches are very safe, I never heard of anyone being broken into and each cluster has their own security guards who work 24/7. Hope this helps Good luck with the search

Welcome, well almost, to the sandpit lcoolie! I'm sure you won't even feel the Ramadan as you'll be so busy setting up home. The ranches are lovely, we moved to al reem few months back after having lived in a central area of Dubai, and by far the ranches have been so much better with all the different things kids can do. Good luck with the move!

Hi spam 66 I can only give you advice on the ranches as this is were we are now. As previously mentioned it is a well established community and has everything at hand. For your budget you should easily get a villa in al reem or palmera. We secured a 3 beds plus maid and study for the same amount you are looking to spend. We were also looking at falcon city at the time as it is good value for money but the salesperson himself told us that none of the facilities is going to be ready for a good while. This may also be the case for the villas. I much rather have the supermarket nearby as I couldn't possibly handle having to drive 15 mins for a pint of milk! Hope you find what to want! Best of luck.

Maybe she does not want to disclose that info at this stage, I believe she she very shaken by it all. If you look at some past replies from her you'll be able to find out what area it is.

I use the bellezza titanium straighteners and I must say they are a million times better than the ghd. The titanium plates don't damage your hair and make it really shiny. I got mine from a stand in the battuta mall. Btw I do still have my ghd but never use them now as only use the bellezza ones. If you want them I can give them to u for 150

Gorobattie, It must be very draining for you to have to go trough all this. You have to start being stricter with him. In my experience having two boys aged 3 and 1 1/2 I went trough a similar stage. I began to use the naughty step and it took quite sometimes believe you me but it's now working wonders! Whenever my eldest is misbehaving all I need to do is mention the naughty step! You have to toughen up seriously, he needs to understand that you are the boss, not him! Also if he tends to eat food that contains E-numbers I suggest you drastically cut those down as E numbers are often the cause of behavioural problems in children. Hope this helps and good luck

What is cooking cream? Fresh cream used for cooking, not for whipping. You can get it from any supermarket in the refrigerated section where the butter, milk is.

salmon pasta, quick and easy. cut the raw smoked salmon in squares and stir fry with finely chopped onion for 1 minute or so. cook the pasta, best pasta for this dish is farfalle. once the pata is ready pour it in the pan with the salmon, add some cooking cream, cook for another minute and ready to be eaten!

I think they did put a ban on all veggies coming from Europe due to the e-coli outbreak in Germany. The cause is down to some beans rather than the veggies tho!

Twiglet you may want to invest in one of those water purifier if you haven't done so already. The water here in Dubai is not so kind to the hair and skin.

Keepinfaith Im not a doc but by the sound of it he may be suffering from sleep apnea, major causes: being overweight, smoking and not following a healthy diet. I suffered from it when I smoked (and I'm only 28 ). I have quit smoking 3 years ago and the symptoms disappeared soon after. Your GP should be able to point you to the right direction. All the best
