Sugarbeach, after two years are you happy that you took her advise? Did what she promise work out for you and are you satisfied with the school that she recommended?

from what I searched the fees they charge at JBS is no more than most of the GEMS schools and american schools such as ASD and DAA. So I don't understand what the big fuss about the fees are? Maybe because it's a new school and parents don't trust it that much to pay such high cost for a school that's not yet well estableshed.

Thank you Alison. It feels so good to finally get an answer. That's so awful about the people above you using your pool as their trash-can. Can't you complain to security or something? So I guess the pool is'nt that private either, they must be able to see it in order to throw stuff in it?? I'm muslem so if I can be seen in the pool from other apartments, it won't be worth the extra pay.....That's why privacy is important for me and your help will mean a great deal to me and help me in deciding.... And can you pls let me know approx how much more expensive the rents are? A regular 3 bedroom is around 120 k and we can do like 20 k more.... Thanks everyone for your responds

Hey everyone! We're considering moving into the executive towers this september, and I've seen advertisments for private pools in apartments. Has anyone experienced apartments with private pools, are they on the terace or inside and how private are they? edited by Narjess on 23/05/2012

Thanks so much for all the answers. I'll definately look at the executive towers. It's interesting that you've seen bugs in apartments. We have a flat in south ridge for 4 years now ( I come to dubai for shopping and my husbund does business) and I've never seen a single bug even though we stay in dubai in the summer. Any other towers to suggest or does anyone else out there have a bug free expiriance with villas?

Happymom, I've heard that there are a lot of bugs and roaches in villas. I'm moving to dubai this septmeber and I have three kids so I was cosidering gated community villas such as the lakes, but the bugs thing has really put me off , cause I have zero tollerance for bugs. Can u pls let me know how bad it is?

Tammy, Why don't you consider living in an apartment of flat? There are nice flats, 4 or 5 bedrooms with great faciliteis. We're also moving to Dubai this september and although I love the idea of a gated commuinty and a villa because of the kids, but the bugs really puts me off and I'm searcjing for flats in towers with playgrounds or a bike area for kids. Any suggestions will be graetly appreciated

Thank you Jane. I've already searched all the threads on both schools, but coming to compare it's difficult for me to choose. Simpleasabic, I also like how UAS sounds, but my only concern is that it might nt be as academicly challenging as EIS. Do you have any info of how the academic levels are in it's high school? We live in Tehran, so the language is Fari in schools.
