Anyone has seen these in Dubai? I've been to many pharmacies, and they all have only adult tablets. Thank you so much.

Thanks Cowboy, but it looks like that nobody has a clue. I will report back in case I find a cover. Worst case I will take it to the tailor and make them patch it up. Better than current situation. :-)

Good morning 4year old has managed make a tiny tear, huge. In fact so huge that it literally looks bad. Now, don't want go and buy another car seat, surely there is a way to fix this problem? Has anyone seen replacement covers for the Maxi Cosi Carseats? Haven’t checked the usual kids/baby shops and thought I will ask here before venturing to the malls.  I have searched online on Amazon etc. but with addition of shipping costs they are quite pricey. Not sure if ‘non originals’ would work, if yes, where can I find one that fits Priori XP? It would be great if they were sold somewhere in Dubai. Thank you.

I think this is a lovely idea. Perhaps i might be worth approaching some of the moving companies to see if they would donate some? In return for something of a public thank you on these boards perhaps? Very good luck with your idea and I think you're doing something wonderful HTH xx Thank you. That's a good idea. Didn't think of that. :)

Hi all I'm organizing a collection drive for toys for orphanages in Kenya and need boxes for the shipment as the freight forwarder does not provide these. I have bought few from Geant but looks like I will need more hence wanted to check if someone has any leftover from their move? Thanks so much in advance.

Ok ladies, has anyone recently shopped from LEGO.com (USA) and managed to ship via S&S? I did try the route Starsouthern mentions in this thread and it did not work. :-( Appreciate any advice on getting our hands on 'cheaper' lego. Thank you.

Such a shame for them to go waste. Not sure what could be done with it? Maybe charity organizations would be interested? You could check with Volunteer in Dubai. Sorry can't help, but lovely of you to not just blindly wanting to chuck it out.

av1998 Unfortunately I do not have any advice for you on what you should do for your children, but can I just applaud you on being so determined to get the best for your children? Honestly, my heart just aches when I read of the struggles you and your family go through. Well done on not giving up and trying to find what works best for your boys. May Allah give you the right guidance as well as the strength you need to face your battles. DR1958, I bow down to you. You are such an inspiration and I enjoy your wise posts immensely.

I agree. No stress. Sometimes these tests do show that there is an allergy but it does not mean to that you have cut out the food completely from your diet. There might different levels of allerginess (made that word up) in a certain food. So doesn't necessarily mean that you should avoid it like the plague. :-) I have heard only great things about Dr. Loubser, so would check what he says. Good luck.

Morning Ladies, Did not want to open yet another lunch box thread, so jumping on this one. ;-) My question is about the thermos for the lunch box. Any advice on tried and tested brands? Saw a nice one at DB Babies and also one at PotteryBarn, but not sure. Does anyone have this one? If so, what's your opinion? http://dbbabies.com/product/2-years-and-older/lunchbots-thermal-food-container-dark-blue/ What makes do you guys use, which are good in keeping the food hot / cold till about lunch time? Thanks so much.

It's a pain but possible to remove the cover and wash it. I have done both Maxi Cosy Cabrio as well as Priori. The manual is not very helpful though. This is one this area Maxi Cosi should really invest into. Make it easier to actually clean the fabric and/or detail the steps in the manual.

Why not grab your camera and take a stroll around the older parts of Dubai. I have some arty shots of Hatta on my walls that i took myself and they look great. Done that before and wanted to have something different. Thanks for your reply though. :-)

Dear Lovely EW. I would like to make collage of different sized frames on the wall with a set of photos or paintings with some sort of connectivity, with about 10-15 images. Just not sure where to look? Been to Ikea but there is hardly any selection. Ideally I would like them in black and white or at least in very neutral cream shades with a bit of vintage look. Anyone got an idea where i could find sets of post cards and posters in different sizes with a related theme? Thankful for any hints.

I wasn't aware you can hide history for a specific year, Beebers? When you reach the 'boxed' area which shows the list of friends post and messages, you can hover in the top right corner with the mouse and an 'edit/delete' prompt appears and from there you can click "hide from timeline" Its not my own timeline I am worried about but rather the ones appearing on friends timelines where I may have said something personal ! Can you please clarify where this boxed area is? once you are in the messages or on the timeline? if the latter, where exactly? I cannot find it. Thank you.

Elnino, I would be interested as well please. Please send me an email on. Does your supplier provide 65 - 70% chocolate as well? As that's what I usually use. Thank you. edited by nashwa1 on 10/09/2012

We are in the exact same position. Found someone without an agency and need to start the process. I've been trying to speak to the Philippine embassy since morning, but noone is answering the phone. I've even sent them email, let's see if they'll reply. Anyone have a clue on what we should advise our potential employee to do from her end? We will apply for the residence visa from here, does this have to be sent by original to the Philippines? It's all really confusing. I've been going through old threads, but somehow can't get the right info. :-(

OK so my baby is yet to be born (3 more months) but I ran into a friend who has school-age kids yesterday who told me to start putting her name down asap for schools. So I just looked at JESS and there are already 80 kids on the waiting list for 2015 - 2016???? Can this be right? I don't think my baby would need to start til 2016 but should I really be doing this now? I don't want to miss the boat but she's not even born yet!!! :\: edited by The Dangerous Blonde on 23/08/2012 For Jess this is true. I've heard of so many people putting their childrens name before being born, it's ridiculous. It's regarded one of the top schools in Dubai and it's really difficult to get space there. So if you would be interested, get in the queue. :-) But

try nystaloco. This has helped my lo with his severe nappy rash. Sudo cream does nothing to heal it's just a barrier. Even metanium did not help. One suggestion, if the pee or poo is burning his skin during contact try using make up cotton pads on top of the cream applied area. Just split into 2 so it's thin and cover all red patches. This will stop the burning pain due to diarrhea, pee etc. It's horrible to see lo's in this state. I have never experienced anything like it before and got it twice over the last few months with my boy.

Yes I know what you mean....I did googled a video tiramisu and the lady who was doing it did cook the egg yolks in double boiler...she did add the sugar and the vanilla and kept mixing while cooking it on the double boiler....It took me 3 attempts to get the perfect tiramisu...as they always say; the third is the charm :) Oh it never crossed mind to do it in the double boiler. I usually do Swiss Meringue Buttercream like that, but didn't think of using the egg yolks for Tiramisu using the same method. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tip. :-)

I know homemade Tiramisu is best however am hesitant to use raw eggs here. As far as I know there is no substitute, so have not made it since I moved to Dubai. Which brand of eggs do you guys use and have no problems reg. Salmonella? Any tips? Thanks.
