yes animals going to Europe are going by cargo but on same plane than you. At arrival no need agent as you have already done all documents. so you just get your animal and that's all. sometime control sometime no control. hope it can help you. rgds.

Cat export - Dubai to Europe flying Emirates - 1. Check vaccinations are upto date 1 month before as the minimum time requirement varies from each EU country. 2. Check you have the approved IATA cat carriers (most vets sell them) 3. Download & print the EU veterinary certificate in English (and in the language of the country you are travelling to, if applicable) www.aphis.usda.gov/regulations/vs/iregs/animals/downloads/ee_non_com_pets.pdfThe EU form accepts a maximum of 5cats. 4. Next step is to register with Ministry of environment.Go to: www.eservices.meow.gov.ae/account/user login.aspx?lang=en-US Select category ANIMAL WEALTH - service IMPORT & EXPORT PERMITS - service ISSUANCE HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORT of LIVE ANIMALS and complete all personal details. You will need your Emirates ID or residency number, if you don't have, you can use a friends. (Without prior registration you will be turned away by the Ministry at Cargo Village). Currently the system will not allow you to continue due to new fees being applied, this is not a problem as you are now registered. 5. Book your own flight, then call the airline to book your cat/cats on the same flight. The airline will ask for dimensions of carrier, weight of cat + carrier (doesn't have to be precise, your vet should be able to help with approx weight) cat name and age in years/months. 6. Call the airline after 3days to confirm the cats are booked on. 7. Make a vets appointment between 10-5days before you fly, this is for your cats Health Certificate. They will be checked, dewormed and given frontline. Average cost is 200dhs a cat depending on the vet. . You will receive the stamped health certificate with the completed and stamped EU form. If you also have a foreign language form, get this stamped. This certificate is only valid for 10days. 8. Next step is to take the cats with the health certificate, pet passports and the completed EU form to the Ministry of Environment and Water located at Dubai Cargo Village close to Terminal 1 (go into building 2 and at 1st floor turn right). They are open 24hours 7days a week. Ask for the health certificate for live animals. The vet will check the cats microchip details, the cat stays in their carrier. Upto 5 cats can be entered on each form, you pay 400dhs for the certificate and 300dhs for the EU attestation. Payment must be on debit/credit card or EDirhams (only available at NBAD branches, not the post office). You're nearly there.. 9. For peace of mind I called Emirates 24hours before to reconfirm their booking. I taped copies of front page pet passport & name/address of destination with flight details on each carrier. I put a small water bowl in with minimum amount of water. 10. Departure day: Take yourself and cats to the check in desk. The carriers will be weighed and charged as excess, Emirates prepaid on line excess cannot be used for this. After paying at the excess charge counter (cash only, there is an ATM there) a porter will escort you and cats downstairs to the animal section, I asked to go with them to make sure all was ok. They are then taken away by a DNATA person along a corridor 11. .At the departure gate , please checked with the staff that the cats had been loaded 12. Bad experience with my older daughter took Gulf air last wed to Paris. 2 hours delayed, she missed the connection, was sent to Qatar and it took in total 21 hours to reach Paris . , she insisted to have another option in Qatar otherwise she would had stayed one night and half day to get the plane......

hi, yes pets allowed and lot of green area around to walk them, lot of dogs in JI. . I live in same area since 5 years. you can be member of the club house, and even not member you can enjoy restaurant, activities, gym , against fees. it s pleasant area. rgds

took my son at emergency as he fall down and cut his knee... had to see 2 doctors as first one did not know how to proceed. he wanted to give him full anesthesia which I have never seen to suture a kid... Finally second doctor did well... today went to do change bandage... , staff is Philippinos which is finel but they only talk between them and forget to talk to my son who needed more friendly staff as he was stressed.. as usual we use Medcare but emergeny was full on Friday and ambulance sent us to Saudi german hospital. I can only say that I am not impressed... but may be it s only my experience...and I was not there at right moment...

if I can share experience and I am training right now one female mix saluki who has been abused (I guess) , my friend who foster her drop the dog 3 time week so she can be used to family life. the first 2 weeks the dogs was next to my main entrance door and was scared of everything (noise, maid, children, all new people) . I have my own rescued dog and she help me a lot to get out this dog (mix saluki) of her shell . my strategy for the first few days was to ignore the dog and to keep distance as anyway I could not touch her collar., she was growling.. . now she is my best friend but still lot of work as afraid of everything in the street especially gardeners. she is still afraid of children but I ask them to ignore her and to don't touch her. . but slowly and slowly I see an improvement. my son 9 years can cuddle her. with patience and love... everything is possible.. .. but I know we can not rehome her with some children. the family who will adopt her will need to be patient and to understand her issue.. . I am confident she will improve a lot.. . for your dog , you need to say to the children to ignore her until she get out of her shell.. , with time and love she will improve a lot.. , that s for sure... !!! good luck

hi, I have been in similar situation and was very tired ... I also did MRI 3 years ago in my country and they did not anything. Only Otrivin worked but did not want to be addict. I have seen Dr Makki Shuker (ENT) one month ago who treated my sinus. since, I have not taken anything... . he said to use one time week spray of cortisone to avoid future allergy. so far I have not taken anything as I am finally fine. but I had stuffy noose since 2 years... . I highly recommend this doctor who also treated ear swim of my son - very professional. good luck and hopefully you will be fine soon.

there is an excellent Indonesian maid available right now. but you have to help her to settle her situation. visa expired end nov but kept her passeport . she has only a copy. you can interview her : her phone 0529123841 and if you like her to go to immigration requested for her passeport you will be able to do visa. she is very good.

it will be at Burj Al arab, first at 20h15 airshow with planes and will be follow by fireworks at 20h30. we received a mail fm our French community as it will be the biggest one organized by French coming for this special event, it s also in newspaper in France mentioning a XXL fireworks. a geant screen will be in JBR, , Dubai mall and beach of Umm Suqeim 3. article said : 21 points of pyrotechnic, arche, 60 differents point around Burj Al Arab. , 17 plates-forms in the sea plus a pyrotechnic wall in the sky of 2km, . 80 projectors and laser will provide an amazing animation in vidéo-maping 3D of 300 meters of high. show XXL hors norms, of exceptional esthetic with 4 tons of firework will light all the sea . sorry for all translation mistakes... but it will be very nice show..

true. I live there and since 2 months it s a big issue. they spray already 3 times but mosquitos are back. lakes are also a cause of this problem as it attract mosquitos as water smell and not clean. also there is a lot of empty villas as LL hold them due to rent increase.. and pools are green until it s rented.. I guess it s winter and soon they will died as night are cold , suggest you go to FB there is a forum for residents : Jumeirah islands residents . so you can follow all threads regarding JI. there is a lot regarding mosquitos. rgds

Cucina : Italian restaurant with real Italian food. this is my favorite Italian canteen. pizza by meters. family restaurant and terrasse. reasonable price. very good note in trip advisor. thanks. I was not with her. They did xray and it seems lot of works to do. yes very strange they start by cleaning and this is for this reason I want to see another dentist. Izzy I wanted recommendation. health insurance doesn't cover and we will pay ourself as we want to help her. most of teeth need treatment and can not pay pricy dentist.

I highly recommand a very lovely 51 years old and 15 years in Dubai with same local family, went 3 month to have a break and back. area : spring, meadows, JLT, Dubai marina . not small children. very high reference.if interested go on classified where she put her add. <em>edited by nath on 18/11/2013</em>

walk with my dog today at 7am, a maid was sit down with her phone and 2 beagles on short leash. after 40mn, back fm my walk , maid was still on phone and sit down with the 2 dogs which have not moved one meter... , so don't think your dogs had a walk... rgds, animals lover.

my son has regular ear swim infection due to pool in Dubai. I had very bad experience with few ENT in Dubai. Finally after 5 years I have found the right ENT who know exactly how to treat it. most of DR give prescription of drop but if ear is not clean of the bacteria, drop have no effect. so I just want to share my experience as not so much thread about ear swim and it s so painful for kids. if your kids have ear swim it s important that ENT clean inside before any prescription. rgds

we had same situation last july and even LL was not allowed to increase we agreed to pay an increase to be sure to keep the house. we just received letter to leave the house at the end of the contract. I finally regret to have accepted the increase...... as you have no security to keep your house....

just bought them in Ikea . ask for black out curtains. they sell by 2 in different colour (aed 225 in black, beige , and other colour) , everything is fixed on the top to clip on the metal bar. you just have to do alteration in satwa which is very cheap. very good quality .

Hi priority is to sterilize the female and then the others. all animals organization (feline friend, the bin kitty collective, friends of animals, etc..) have discount at the vet and you can borrow trap. got info that the bin kitty collective (on facebook) offer free neutering for male and aed 55 for female during Ramadan if still space available. Trap, Neutering and Release is the priority to reduce stray cat population. hope it will help.

For the case I know. the maid went directly to immigration even visa expired one one week (I suggest she goes before expiration and go with her) as they refused to cancel her visa. then they call the sponsor saying the maid did not want to continue with them and they have been forced to cancel visa. then you follow the regular procedure to issue new visa maid. ID is after this step. Crashingwaves, I guess if the maid went to immigration before end of visa, she will not be faced to this situation with a ban at airport. but each case is different.....and circonstances too.. but when I talk to my PRO , he explained me that ban is applied when they can show proof ..

there is new regulation on ban. to ban a maid is more difficult than before. sponsor need to provide proof and talk to immigration and maid will be also interview.. if the maid doesn't want to continue with them, she has to go to immigration and inform them that she doesn't want to stay anymore. 2 month ago, I know a maid who worked during 18 years with local family and they did not want to release her. she went to immigration and mentioned she doesn't want to continue with them. they finally released her.... , good luck.
