have you been doing any exercise for it? as I know it won't go away and they say even surgery won't help, you just have to deal with it, there are few sites I've seen that show how to do stretch, and in general you can do any stretching class and of course swimming....

have you checked their website? I've got mine 2 years back it's F11, very basic, you can follow your heart rate and calorie burn, it would show your daily or weekly activity, haven't seen any down side to it, I was using it mostly to monitor my calorie burnt in my workout, and it has been with me since then, have a look at the other models also, stay fit :) http://www.polar.ae/ae-en/products/improve_fitness/fitness_crosstraining/F11

Thanks so much for that ladies, I have passed the information on to my husband. We seem to be struggling to find a 3 bed in Springs 1 & 2 so maybe he will look at those other areas now that are near shops. I think your all right about the driving, just need to do it!! arghh I'm sure it will be fine :-) Honestly Rach, I am a country girl and don't even do motorway driving at home, had never driven abroad and hadn't driven an automatic before - if I could cope, you can. Best advice I can give you is to get a map of Dubai and start learning the names of the areas - at least that way if you get lost you will recognise the names on the signs and can head in the general direction, it saves having to stop and look at a map evry 5 minutes. Sorry to jump to the discussion but do people drive very bad there? I've lived for 6 years in Cairo and driving is crazy here! but I managed to drive after all so I guess it should not be so difficult to drive over there, at least I hope! :) and as I am also looking in Springs, do these lakes bring mosquito and fly in the hot season to the villas? xxx

Anybody has any idea how's the construction going on? I have no idea where are they located, do you think it's wise to register my son there (year 1) as they don't have a waiting list so far? and will it be a good school like the other GEMS?

Thanks for all the infos, yes we have two young boys age 4.9 and 2.5, at the moment we live outside of Cairo in a compound so I am used to be far from the city (cannot live inside Cairo never!) but we both have car and I move a lot, I had a look at green community and looks great, I'll try to get some contacts till we come and visit it, Any idea about the Springs? is it very far from the DIP?

We visited Horizon two years ago and were very impressed. We were on the waiting list but never got to the top. The school suggested we try Safa instead. We did and our son is now in Year 3 there. He absolutely loves it. The curriculum is varied and interesting. The school is small so it doesn't have facilities like a sports field but they use Safa Park instead. There is a real community feel about the school with the Head and Deputy Head knowing all the children individually. Horizon and Safa are sister schools and I doubt you could go wrong with either. Thanks for the info, I rather have a small community than put my kids in a big school specially that my son is very shy, I already sent mail to Horizon but didn't get any response will try Safa as well :)
