Thanks Meeny. Sorry I’m asking because they have over 20 physiotherapists and I want to ensure I’m reaching out to the right one. Vaginismus is a debilitating condition and most medical professiona...
Hi, this might help. So my wife was diagnosed with the same issue and our doctor advised to use dilators to treat vaginismus. Luckily for us, she wrote the same in the medical report and also issued a formal letter addressed ‘to whom so it may concern’, stating that ‘’my wife’ is under her care and as part of her treatment she advises to use dilators to treat Vaginismus. As they are not available in the local pharmacies, I have advised her to get them from overseas. Should there be any further queries, you can get in touch with me (contact details of the gynecologist). I then bought them on Amazon US and got it shipped through Shop&Ship (Aramex). Once it reached their US office, they contacted me stating that its on hold for 21 days as it’s prohibited to import in UAE and they categorized it as Adult Material. I replied to their email, sharing the Amazon invoice along with the report and the letter (highlighting the relevant text). Within a few days it got cleared under ‘Health/Medical Supplies’ and reached us like two days back. This all happened over last two weeks and that’s it.
