Hi Gracie, I'm so sorry to hear of your terrible situation, it must have been awful! Apologies I should have bit a bit more clear in my post. I didn't actually have OHSS, I was just at risk of having it, so they didn't want to risk doing a fresh transfer. On my first cycle, I used Gonal F (225ml) I responded well to it, and they managed to collect 18 eggs, however a lot of my eggs weren't mature enough and we ended up with 3 embryos. The second cycle Dr. Pankaj, wanted me to use Menapur injections, as he said it can improve the egg quality, which it did slightly. They retrieved 25 eggs and we currently have 5 good quality embryos. I was also taking DHEA and Bio Q supplements to try and improve my egg quality as well. I always said my first cycle would be a trial cycle and if it didn't work they could learn from it and tweak some changes for the next time. Im sure whichever Doctor/clinic you go to they will learn from your previous experience and they will avoid following the same protocol as your first cycle. Wishing you lots of luck!! Keep us posted! xx

Hi Gracie, I am currently undergoing my second cycle of ICSI with Conceive. The reason we chose them in the first place, was because Dr. Pankaj came recommended by 2 couples who had success with him. I'll be completely honest with you, during my first cycle I absolutely hated conceive, I felt that both JLT and Sharjah clinics were poorly run and there was no organisation! As I am still working full time, I have to go for all scans etc on my lunch breaks, I would be promised it would be a 20 min appointment, but 2 hours later still be there! After our failed cycle we decided to go to Faikh for a consultation, before I could even sit down, the doctor was already trying to up sell us and I got the feeling there was no patient care and it was all about money! We also had to wait around for ages there too. Going to Faikh really put things into perspective for us and we decided to stick with Dr. Pankaj! Im really glad we did, the appointments are less stressful now as they have an extra doctor so no waiting around! The nurses and doctors are lovely in JLT clinic and will literally do anything for you! Id love to tell you that I have a success story with them but I'm currently waiting to do my FET as I couldn't do a fresh one due to overstimulation. I'm sure you will choose the one which feels right to you and I agree maybe book a few consultations to see what you think. sending you loss of luck xx

Hello ladies, Has anyone done a blood test for cystic fibrosis here in the UAE? I have tried contacting many clinics/hospitals and no one seems to have a clue what I am talking about. I did however get in contact with a lab in JLT, but they are charging 3000 dhs each and they have to send the blood sample to France. Any help would be appreciated x

Hi H2015, I am just about to start my treatment at conceive. I have been for 2 consultations so far, and I am due to start with the injections later this month. So far they have been fantastic and really supportive. They have clinics in JLT and also Sharjah and you will always have the consultations with Dr. Pankaj himself. It is however a little bit pricey, but I am guessing all of the clinics here are pretty similar. I didnt do much shopping around as he came recommended by 3 different couples who all had success with him. Wishing you lots of luck

Hi Ladies, Unfortunately after an appointment at conceive (Sharjah) last month, my hubby and I were told we probably cant have kids naturally as he has a low count, abnormal sperm and low motility. We are due to start ICSI in the coming months and I would really appreciate some positive feedback from couples who have gone through the same here in the UAE  xx

Hello ladies! Can anyone recommend good fitness classes close to Jumeirah village Triangle? Ideally somewhere that won't cost an arm and a leg! thanks x :)
