Thankyou, I'll have a look on Facebook for info. Haim my original post was titled ' random questions in my head ' thank you for asking. Don't worry about it, they're silly questions anyway. Lol
Well for one thing, it is Ramadan and people are busy living their lives and getting ready to leave for the summer. Sorry but your questions aren't really a priority for people at this time. But also, this board is nearly dead and has been for a while - if you actually lived in Abu Dhabi or watched the board for a while, you would know that. I'd suggest you try Facebook and/or not expect people to answer your questions.
Thank you, I am very aware it's Ramadan. Yes, you are right, my questions are not a priority. I only joined the website on the 6th June so I am unaware how dead this forum is but thank you for letting me know. Regards
I know everyone has busy lives whether that's at work or looking after children or a home or all three but I've been looking through the threads on this forum and posted one myself and no one comments, I asked several questions about random things and they're not difficult to answer or so I thought, no one has helped with even one of them, but I've had over 300 views.
I'm not living in Abu Dhabi yet but I like to think that when I do I can answer someone's question or give my opinion on a school or a specific part of town.
There are so many threads on here with 0 comments and honestly I'm dissapointed. I had hoped that this website would help us with our move in 2 or 3 months, and yes there is several sections that have provided information but it doesn't cover the little things that are swilling around in my head. So, I shall just google them or wait till I get there and find out for myself.
Hello,
I'm arriving in Abu Dhabi in a few months, my husband is arriving next month and has a probation period to get through first!
I'm 38 on Tuesday and have William who is 5 months, he was born New Year's Eve. He's my first, we took 15 years to decide to finally have a baby. It's a bit daunting having one when your a little older but I think for me it's better, I am more chilled out and have a bit more patience I think. I'm lucky though as so far he's been a good baby.
I'm in the UK and I've not gone to any baby groups yet, 1 because we knew at some point we would be going to Abu Dhabi and 2 because I think I'll be the oldest there! Maybe I won't be, but when I get over I'll be more than happy to get to know people my age with children the same age.
