Had fun selling ours, not! Everyone is after a bargain, many of whom like to start haggling on the phone before you even meet them or they have seen the car. Then you get them telling you, OK i come at 7pm and turn up at 11pm and ring your doorbell and expect to be shown the car. My favourite has to be the jokers, OK i give you half cash! @#$#@!!!! Good luck just make sure that your advert is assertive!

Shop in Wafi that makes fascinators to order Oasis Fashions, you pick the design and they will match their feathers etc to your outfit. Paid around 350aed for my last one which i wore to a wedding and everyone commented on how unusual it was.

No problems leaving Dubai with 6 botlles of steralised water and cartons of ready made formula, only returning. Could take Milton tablets and steralise onboard but that is a hassle.

Depending on weight you can stop swaddling if they dont like it and use a sleeping bag (1tog) or try swaddling from under the arms leaving them free. What ever you do to resettle LO be consistent. Every time i put DD down for a nap we close the curtains together and say goodnight to Mr Sunshine. Do you BF when he wakes several times in the night? How much does he take or do you think he might be doing it for comfort? If so show him his fist and not breast. Is he falling asleep at the breast? If so make sure you wake him( ie when you put them down let them stir dont actually wake them fully) before putting back in the cot or encourage him to finish the feed, harsh i know but you have to encourage good habits from the begining. I never let my DD fall asleep on me and she slept through the night on BF from 10 weeks. Also may not sleep long enough at night if not getting enough daytime calories to sustain LO. I used to cluster feed at 2pm,4pm and 6pm, bath 6.30 and bed at 7pm, dream feed at 11pm, 2am then 5am and then i would wake DD at 7am to start the day. Watch your diet in the afternoons as if your're not eating enough then LO will not be getting the good stuff. Try Almonds, porridge oats and non alcoholic beer.

www.amandaclairestyle.com/. Have just had my colours done with Amanda and its the best money i ever spent! I now don't even bother with most stuff in shops, i can go straight to my power colours and know im gonna look fab. Spent the day with her and went to the mall where she assesed my face shape and advised me on jewellery that would work for my features and styles that would work for my curves and even why some of the styles that i was drawn to wouldn't work for me. Very friendly and has a nice way of taking you away from your comfort zone without giving you the hard sell or being pushy. Hubby got good rate as it was a present after the birth of our first LO and had a really special experience.

Your post doesn't say how old your LO is but if on a scheduled routine shoud be eating consistently every 2/3/4 hours and taking the amount for their age. Offering littles bits at a time encourages snacking and will therefore less likely to eat a full meal meaning more expense and less rest for you. Start at breakfast and offer a full feed then look for feeding cues IE sucking hand, crankyness and try to work out if baby is hungry or are you using food to pacify when could be crying for another reason? Good luck!

On the way back from the UK at Xmas they made me open all the sterile bottles containing water and sip from each and when i argued that then it wasn't sterile they were not interested, same with the ready made formula in the cartons.

What does DS do during the night to settle himself between sleep cycles? I showed my dd her fist and later she found her thumb herself. Great that you recognise the sleep cues but are you recognising the first one's, i ask because i found that with DD she would sneeze ten mins later would rub face and then 5 mins later would yawn. If i didnt catch her between sneeze and face rub then it would be a struggle and would wake early from her nap as she was already overtired before i put her down. Also found it helped to get the first sleep of the day at home but if didnt get it then rest of day would play catch up. Try to wait a bit before going in as its tempting to go in and get them back off but you might end up with them only being able to do so with your help. Try blocking out any stimulation in room ie cot mobile's etc Good luck!

Buy magazine Emirates bride for list of suppliers and prices, available from spinneys etc. There is a "Demetrios" store in the shopping centre opp city centre that sells American bridal wear. Saks sells Vera Wang. Pronovias has just been launched here but not sure where shop is. Better to shop abroad and ask shop to package for travel as will probably pay double here.

We stayed in the residence inn times square by Marriott. Have been to NY lots and has by far the biggest rooms. Slow lifts during rush our but great location and very reasonable and clean. Room had a seperate kitchen dining area and breakfast included for less than 500aed/night. Must do. Woodbury common outlet shopping take coach from port authority, 1hour but so worth it! Buy the card that you get so many attractions for a discounted price. Helicopter over the statue of liberty, FAO Scwartz for the kids, register now and perhaps be in the audience for a tv series being filmed. Lucky you!

Agree with Dubaicat, also use E.A.S.Y and have a DD who is now 6 months. Recognising the sleep cues are vital as an overtired baby will usually only sleep 1 sleep cycle(45min/1 hour) Look for face rubbing, staring off into space, sneezing and turning away from stimulation and get them into bed ASAP also dont rush in when you hear them stir, see if they can settle themself's. My DD uses her thumb to settle herself as i was always too lazy to keep going back in with a dummy. If baby does stir go in and ssshh them quitely maybe putting a hand on them and if you like show them their thumb, then leave the room and see how it goes. Good luck!

Hi Pentel, i use the baby whisperer book and stick to the eat, activity sleep routine all day so: 7am Wake up, eat, play 8.30am,sleep 11am wake up, eat, play 12.30/1pm sleep 3pm wake up, eat, play 4.30/5pm sleep 6pm wake up, eat, bath, 7pm bed. Thats why am looking for classes around lunchtime as can extend her awake then as long as she gets her first sleep. Thanks Shjbelle will give them a call.

Pull her aside and tell her that the manner in which she speaks to you , you feel is not appropriate and if there is a problem then can we please discuss it? Give her examples of her tone and the meaning of the tone when used in other examples. If the issue is not resolved then ask a supervisor to observe you trying to fix the problem and seek advice. Do not be defensive, do not be accusing be assertive meaning start all sentences with i observed, i overheard, i feel, not you did. Good luck!

Been here for 9 years and at first found the summers unbearable but last few years have to say they have not been too bad. At least the condensation on the outside of the windows seems less. LOL! Also we have a small dog which we walk 4 times a day and i think this helps as when you avoid going out it seems worse when you actually do go out where as if you keep going out it doesn't seem too bad. However, i get out of town during Ramadan and recommend doing the same if you can. No eating in malls, neighbours turn day into night so are very noisy at night and trying to get anything done is a nightmare IE licence, DEWA, Etisalat etc as they all have reduced working hours and dont even get me started on the driving!!!

I saw Dr. Salihi at Healthbay poly clinic on Al Wasl road opp Choithrams and highly recommend her. Pro natural delivery and doeesn't send you for lots of unnecessary scans/tests. She has been in Dubai for around 1.5years after coming from Glasgow teaching hospital in UK and has every qualifaication after her name. Think she is Austrian. She has birthing rights at American and at Medcare. Congratulations!

Stayed at the Amari in Phuket. Beautiful hotel and stunning sea veiws from most rooms, breakfast to die for and far enough away from centre of town to avoid the noise but close enough to walk into several times a day/night. Think it's rainy season when you are going, didn't bother us but just be carefull of the boat trips they offer to phi phi as most stay longer at neighbouring islands where you are forced to buy as deserted otherwise, also seas very rough at that time. Great nightlife and close to other island sto island hop.
