We went to the opening night of Cats and had dinner in the Armani Deli, 2 courses 130aed and 3 courses 160aed. We ate outside on the terrace with full fountain views. The other restaurants in the hotel had 20% off A La Carte for opera goers. Thiptara and Asado also have set menus for opera goers but that's slightly further away.

Gloss Salon at the corner of Al Manara and Al Wall is where the students train. I get a full head nightlight, root touch up, cut and blow dry for around 300aed. Be warned it takes longer than a regular salon as its fully supervised students.

This will depend largely on your budget, Culture village and Business Bay are close and are the cheaper options. Downtown, DIFC will be more expensive and all are a short commute into DESS area. There are also a few new buildings renting very close to the school in Oud Metha, the area is densely populated.

Silicon Oasis 3/4 bed 180K may also be a good option as is Meydan South Polo villas advertising at 200k but know a few people that got deals for 180k, Falcon City would also be in budget. Culture Village is a new ups and coming area and a 3 bed huge apartment with full facilities and creek views from 160K. Schools: Hartland Gems Wellington Academy Silicon Oasis Gems First Point Gems Wellington Primary Star International School

My hubby did ours in our old Spings villa, didn't take him long and he's more metrosexual than Bob the builder. Failing that we got in Emrill to help us with tiling etc, they might do it.

As a JAPS parent I am really disappointed by the move away from Jebel Ali all the way out to the bypass road. A lot of parents have moved into the Marina, JP, JA Village, GVV to be near the school and now what?! No thought or consideration given to those who specifically moved into that area to be close to the school and who don't want their kids sitting on a hot bus out to the sticks to an area where there is poor access and poor facilities. Its like moving from the edge of Manhattan to New Jersey. No idea why a suitable place close to the existing school couldn't be found especially with the expansion of border area's and the expo 20/20 expansion. Why build in an area with schools surrounding it and having to use major highways to get there.

Hi, I'm so sorry that you didn't get the clarity that was needed in this case. We went a few days ago for our ruling and it wasn't clear that we had won until they charged the LL for the court fees. Up till then we had no idea. Our situation; LL wanted to increase rent, no notice given, we refused, he issued a letter to say move out. Few months later sells property so vacation letter is null and void. New LL wants vacation letter upheld, loses case. New LL wants 100% increase so back to court in May. So frustrating, because the law wasn't spelt out as to why our LL wants to appeal the case. We on the other hand are glad to be in our home another year but will now have to fight for the 3rd year running to get the LL to obide by the law. I struggle to decorate or maintain things as I know I could be out in a few months.

Hi, I lived in the Springs for 4 years before moving to JVT. TBH as much as I miss the beautiful walks round the springs and the communal pools I much prefer JVT. We are in District 2 which is the block directly off of the 311 entrance so great access to 311 JA bound or into JP,JI or Springs. For Al Khail access District 4,8&9 are the best. We are in a 2 bed town house which have a larger built up area than the independant villas. We have a proper laundry room, a larger kitchen and a huge room at the top of the stairs that has now been converted into a 3rd bedroom. The independant villas have no laundry room just a small area, a very small kitchen and only a large landing at the top of the stairs. The downside is the garden is on the smaller side but still fits a playhouse, trampoline and a 8 seater table ok. I used to live in Springs 15 and the supermarket actually took me longer to drive to because of the speed bumps. (19 speed bumps from our door to SHZ rd). We get a reduced membership at FF and JIclubs so use the pools there. Our AC bills for Springs and JVT are exactly the same so I think here in JVT it must be a better system since we have over 1000SQFT extra space.

Hi, you can still register a complaint with the rent committee as you are entitled to compensation if this happens. They check the name on the DEWA bills for either 24/36months is the same as said family members and if not you are entitled to a years rent as compensation. PLEASE pursue this.

Maintenance is arranged by yourself unless major/structural. Wouldn't be so bad if they were reasonably priced but expensive when newer, bigger modern villas on for similar prices nearby. How was access in and out when you lived there? We looked at them as DD starting school at JAPS. I think if there fir the long term then it may be worth spending some money on them but who knows when you may be evicted again !

Sorry to jump in on this thread but we find ourselves in a similar situation. Our LL emailed us a rent increase at 87 days (not the 90 legally required nor by notary public),when we refused as per the RERA calculator he issused us 12 months to leave by email. He has now asked us to sign a letter stating we will move next year and has tried to issue us a non-renewable contract. Both of which we have refused to sign. I thought the law said neither party could change the conditions (IE non renewable) unless 60 days notice was given and both parties had to agree any changes? Does this not apply? Anyone had similar and what was the outcome?

I also suffer from the same and have done for about 20+ years. I find an air purifier in every room works well. Try to dry your bed clothes in a tumble dryer as the dust from outside collects on the bedding whilst drying. Avoid dairy products as these just make the mucous thicker. You will need to speak to a specialist to see which substitutes you can use IE broccoli etc is packed with calcium. Daily sinus wash before sinus spray also does wonders even if you dont use medication the wash flushes out the mucous. Its called Tonimer baby available from all chemists.

I dont check our maids room but she doesnt have a lock on the door and during the day keeps her room door open. DS goes in there, the cat roams around in there and if I need her I walk in as well. Shes kept an open door policy without being asked and for that reason it doesnt seem she has anything to hide. Our maid also adopted this policy without being asked but i do have a monthly peep to make sure i dont find mouldy food etc. I do trust her but i also know that my husband is legally responsible for her and she means less to me than the hubby so the checks will remain.

I had Dr for my 2nd and wouldn't recommend her. Was left pushing for 3 hours as she attended a c section of a patient that wasn't hers as my epidural wore off. Only showed When midwives begged her as I went from 3cm to 10 cm in 15 mins. If that wasn't bad enough, after 3 days of asking for a laxative ( am lactose intolerant so cant buy the regular) I ended up with an impacted bowel and was denied an enema for 6 hours before she wrote the prescription. When she came to see me after the birth around 6 am, snapped on the lights, started talking before I even came to and then rushed out the door again. When I had the impacted bowel and was sobbing/ screaming on the bathroom floor left the room and asked a nurse to give me sips of warm water. I have no doubt that she is an excellent Dr but her bedside manner is appalling!

My DR told me that there is no need to do this scan and waste all that money. A regular scan can pick up the same detail. My feelings that even if something wasnt normal, not much i could do about it except worry myself sick so opted not have them dome with either of my 2.

I attended her (super Nanny)parenting classes in MIni Monsters before summer and really liked how she asseses each childs personality which i think is a big factor before addressing behaviour issues. I implemented a few techniques based on her suggestions and saw progress in the first few hours. She explains the kind of parenting skills required for each age group and helps you to understand your own personality traits and this can help to see where you are going wrong before getting started on using her techniques. I agree with a previous poster that time out in a seperate room did not sit comfortably with me but on the rare occasion where DD has needed it,it really worked wonders, SN believes in first time discipline,i however dont agree with it as i feel it crushes a childs spririt but if suits your family and your needs then it gets the results.

They sell them on ebay in the UK for around 20 pounds new though (the connectors that is)

1. Are the corner plots any bigger inside or is it just that the garden is bigger? No, not bigger inside,if anything 4M are slightly bigger than 4E. Corner or not makes no difference. Is chiller on top or is it just dewa? No chiller just DEWA, winter under 1000/month summer slightly more depending on the usage and if the villa faces the sun. 4. Is it fair to say that a 2 bed is manageable in Springs for 85k and 90k for a corner plot? Maybe in 2011 but doubt it now unless on the road. 5. What don’t you like about the area? some drivers who live further into each springs think its a race track.

From airport, go on Emirates road all the way past the ranches. Soon after you will see a petrol station on the RHS if you pull onto the slip road exiting the station and stay on it, this will lead you into gate 2 JVT. From airport take Al Khail road all the way to the end where it meets the Emirates road and again look for the pertrol station. From SHZ rd, exit at Tecom exit then a few options. Either go up through the springs or follow sign onto the Khail AUH bound. From the springs town centre, go straight through the lights towards Jumeriah Islands at the lights turn left (away from JI) and follow construction road tillyou reach a set of lights under construction this is District 2, turn left to get to all other districts.

I'm not that big breasted but I can only sympathize as I know what's its like to struggle to find a product that is seemingly pain free for others. But, for me, getting fitted correctly made such a huge difference to my nursing experience! So much so that I nursed for longer as this time I didn't get Mastitis which I'm sure I got last time round from poorly fitting bras sitting on my milk ducts and causing a whole host of problems. Whilst I know you can buy cheaper online, when it comes to fit you can't do that online and then you have the hassle of returning it. I can no longer shop there as my cup size no longer qualifies since I stopped nursing but I'm sure they do up to a size K.
