I know of a friends daughter who is a teacher and is supposed to be starting work there in September. I live close to the school being built and work is certainly progressing there fast. As another poster said any of the Fox Hill apartments are very close to the school. Good Luck!

I echo what Hotpot said. I always use them and have always found them as she says.I always use them for our A/C maintenance as landlord will not provide contract and have never been disappointed in their service.

Hi nicnacs...I feel guilty too cos I generally love trees plants etc too...and there are birds in the trees at the moment....I am just going to trim them myself I think....They are so tall too...but i will just trim the overhanging branches...that in itself is a big enough job!!!

Thanks Ice7..I will need to do it bit by bit...cos its a very big job as the trees run the full length of the side wall. I am planning to do a small amount of landscaping but before I even start I need to sort those bloomin trees out!!!

I live in the Ranches where these trees are rife. My neighbour planted them all the way along the shared wall on her side. 1 year later they are overhanging my side that you would not believe...all the grass we planted last year has died off, and we are left with a sandpit. The leaves drop at an alarming rate..I have just returned from a 2 week break to find a carpet of leaves covering my stone edging. Whilst I have no wish to fall out with my neighbour, its really hacking me off as it is a lot of work for me ( I dont have a gardner) picking these things up everyday...and when it flowers its twice as bad. Can I cut them down on my side of the wall? I know it wont affect the root system but maybe help the leaf drop problem...It really has spoiled my enjoyment of my garden!

Hi...I am just back from our local Pharmacy where I asked about an air purifier they had on display...Its called Air- Free...it was about 1,200AED... I dont think its a humidifier tho...its just a white casing with a green plastic part on top. Dont think it has any funky cloured bits or oils tho... The leaflet says they do a baby one,,,stocked by Babyshop called BabyAir. Their website address is www.airfree.ae...not sure if its any good...havent checked the site... HTH

Exactly the same thing happened to me Khatoon, difference was my daughter was arriving with a new baby (her first born ) so she was very anxious and for a while she had been very unwell after the birth. I ordered her the buggy service as she was still very fragile and after a long flight from the Uk I wanted to be assured that she would not have any stress when she arrived here. Anyway! no buggy and absolutely no refund and they gave the same excuse about the buggies not being allowed in terminal 3. I had happily used the service several times before with no complaints.

the journey is about 40 mins from MOE to AR depending on traffic and it goes into studio city before turning into the Ranches at that end. Also just so you are aware on Fridays the buses start much later (2.30pm I think)....in case she works on Fridays!! Good luck!

JS The journey planner on RTA website is c**p... from AR to MOE the only walking is from the final stop into the Mall or, from the final stop and up the flight of stairs if going to catch the Metro.... The stop at MOE is in the open area in front of the entrance to MOE ( at the Kempinski side) there is no shelter from the sun unless you get under a tree...If she begins her journey here there is no walking until she gets off the bus at AR. On Um Sequimm Road there are stops going in both directions thats why I mentioned to make sure she knows which side of the road to get on the bus..the landmarks I mentioned are on the other side going from AR towards MOE...its just that the side she needs has no landmarks that I can think of...just open sandy ground

Hi JS There are about 3 stops along Um Sequimm Rd that she can get...One is At Classic Crystal and another at Avenue Home and Design and another one further along from there...just make she knows which side of the road to get on as there are stops on both sides.. I take this bus regular and it is generally a very good service. I cant find a timetable on the RTA website but there are timetables posted at the bus stops... HTH

Hi Eliz I booked Afternoon Tea at the Sky Bar BAA yesterday. Taking MIL next week. Price was 425AED per person. Ive been before with guests and whilst the service can be improved they loved the whole experience.

Hi Emma..we live in Alma in Ranches and have had du for some time...at the moment signal is absolutely fine. When we did have a problem in the past however it took them over 4 weeks to fix, and that was only after us chasing them. We got the usual "someone will call you back wth 24...48 hours" brush off several times. When it was eventually fixed they refused to refund for the time we had no service....
