I am very sorry for what you are going through! This is not Saudi Arabia, this is Dubai, and given your qualifications, you can easily get a job here in Dubai, get a divorce here, and move on with your life. He has no control over you here! If you want to go back, is there anyone you could stay with until you get sorted? If you contact your employer, and the gementee? maybe they will be able to help. The Dutch consulaat in Dubai here is very helpful. May I ask how long have you been married?

I heard good things about both schools. If you decide to put him in Victory Heights Primary School, there are a lot of housing options with your budget, that are minutes away from VHPS such as the Ranches ( two bedroom villas, 10-15 from the school, depending on which compound in the Ranches), Motor City ( apartments and literally 2 minutes away from the school), and Victory Heights ( also right next to the school). There are loads of services around there as well.

We were one of the founding parents, and we pulled our child out of this school last year and filed a complaint against them at KHDA due to lack of knowledge and professionalism in all areas, especially at the end when my poor child had to experience an unfortunate incident. Also, their facilities were not finished at the time we left ( no pool until now apparently). They asked us to pay 20000 facilities fee when my dd started at the school and when we left, there were still no facilities, but they refused to give us our money back. So, they traumatised our child and took our money!!!

I am an ex Foremarke parent. I strongly advise you to look past the pretty building, cause I would say that would be their strongest asset except for the fact that a big portion of the school is not finished yet ( swimming pool won't even be ready next year). We were promised that the facilities would be finished by the first year and of course that was not the case. They refused to give us our 200000 facility fee back when we pulled our child out of the school. I find that the professionalism of its staff and its management are lacking from our experience. The experience we had was very tormenting on my child that I would not want it for anyone, especially little ones!! Remembering what happened still makes my blood boil!! I wish my child had a place in such an outstanding school as JESS. I strongly recommend that you go by reputation and years of excellence rather than a pretty unfinished building and being sweet talked into it, but in reality, lack of care of our precious ones, and lack of professionalism, knowledge and morale!! PS: I am not a newbie. I just forgot my old username as I have not written on here for a long time. An unfinished school, now where have i heard that previously? I am not sure what you mean? I think she's referring to Foremarke's senior/sister school Repton which opened some years before Formarke but had some difficulties in completing the building on time. Ah seems to be then!
