Can anyone recommend a good photographer in Abu Dhabi to come home to take some photos during a family event? There are quite a few on Dubizzle, I spoke to a couple of them and all my questions were answered with a blind: Yes Mam we could do anything you want, but cannot show you any albums of our work... Hmmm somehow I don't trust their services. However, we cannot justify to pay over 6000 for a photo shoot as quoted by one well known photographer. If anyone can advise me I would be very grateful!

We were too late book our Christmas brunch, so I booked the Royal Meridien by the pool, AD. Has anyone had their Christmas lunch there? Is the food any good? Do they have the traditional Xmas food? I phoned them but of course they told me yes to everything I asked. Any other good places that may still be available for CHRISTMAS day lunch? Can anyone help?

ok, so its not a bad place and down the line there will be more malls, ets. What about Al-Raha, khalifa A, is that better than MBZ? Would the drive be the same from there to BSAK or busier than from MBZ? Looking at the map, we would need to take Al Salam st from Al Raha. I often hear there are accidents on this road. I would really love to live in a community, with facilities, play grounds. The compounds seem to be too expensive in town, so maybe have to look on the outside.

Hi busybee, thank you for such a detailed reply. Yes, my girl has a place in BSAK, starting on 17 April. So we have to move and do it FAST! So basically there isn't much in MBZ apart from food options. Alos the its not s guaranteed 15min drive. Plus when I look at the map its adjacent to the industrial area, hmmm. Do you know whether its mostly expat or emirarti community there? Would you live on the Corniche, is it really as great as they say it is?

You are right, they told us we would not get a place for next year, so either relocate now or forget the september. I'd love to go to hotel apt, but we have some furniture and sooo much stuff. Right, so kca or kcb is also an option, especially if for the same price we can get a villa. Tell, are these new area good for the community. We are used to live within one, with a play area, pool, lots of friends. I would hate to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with no shops and everyone for themselves.

Thanks for your reply, its very helpful. Yes, we do feel very lucky with the bsak. She will go to FS2 in April, so I guess a good start for her. How about Khalidiya, is it a good arae? an agency has some flats there- though expensive- 180k 3 bed. gosh, only 2 weeks to go, so stressed.
