I would recommend Essentials salons on Al Wasl rd, their stylists are great at hair coloring and cutting, and I love feeling pampered there ?

Hi there, I've been having the same problems as you, and I'm also 24. I thought it was so weird that I was having such crazy hair fall, but it's really common here because of the water being very hard and harsh. I have been putting oil in my hair every two to three days to help keep it from looking dry and frizzy, and I would recommend getting a shower filter, they help filter the water so it's not as chlorinated and not as much hair fall.

There's a kiosk inside of Oasis Centre, right in front of Daiso, that I bought a few essential oils from. Reasonably priced as well.

Hi JVC is such a huge area it is difficult to answer. Basically if there is a large space in front of the apartment you are wanting to buy then expect construction to build more apartments in front. There are shops and cafes in JVC and more are going there as more construction is finalised. I like living there and find it a great base to get around Dubai, as long as you drive as public transport isn't great. Try asking to be added to the JVC residents facebook page as you can find out what people think about specific apartments. Thank you for this! We are still deciding but we're pretty sure about moving there. I know, the main thing is transportation because everything seems spaced out. Hopefully construction picks up and more places open! I've heard many projects are going to come to JVC and the mall is due to open soon.

If you check on Timeout Dubai, they have a list of top 10 camping spots in UAE. I heard Al Qudra is nice for camping, as well as Al Dhafra Beach in Abu Dhabi. Just google "camping in Dubai" and you should have a few links pop up with reviews and directions for booking.

Omg I had the exact same message from this person who wanted to buy something I was selling on dubizzle. They were from the Ukraine and wanted to pay through paypal as well. My husband warned me about these messages are from a group who have been known for scamming people and not to respond after I got that email. it's great that you let others know as well!

The Nail Spa is a great nail salon, and also We Nails, they always do a good job when I go!

I go to The Nail spa and I like Essie's gel polish. It lasts about 2-3 weeks for me, even though I'm constantly washing dishes and using my hands, it stays pretty intact.

You can get a du or Eitsalat pre paid SIM card for 50 dhs and then top up when needed. I have a du SIM on a monthly plan and it works well for me, I have a decent amount of minutes and data that lasts me for the month. You can keep your phone and just switch out the SIM cards, that's what I did when I moved here.

Hypermarkets like Carrefour are great, they always have excellent offers. I have bought a few appliances from there, and they are covered under warranty as well. You can also check on souq.com, as they always have sales and offers going on, and they deliver within a few days too.

It all depends what your budget is, and what area you want to be in/close too. I am also looking with my husband for an apartment because we are so tired of renting, we might as well get our own place.

Hi, I need help finding a summer camp for my nephew and niece. My sister in law is visiting over the summer for a few weeks and she asked me to look into summer camps she can enroll her kids in. So I want to know, are there any summer camps that will take tourists, or do they have to be residents of Dubai? Please do let me know, thank you!

I haven't personally tried the Kylie lipsticks, but I've heard they have improved since they first launched. I ordered a few recently back home in the States and told my sister to send them with someone who will be visiting Dubai. The Huda liquid lipsticks are a really nice formula, but don't last more than 3 hours in my opinion, but I do enjoy them and have quite a few colors. Also, another really nice lipstick is the Sephora creams lip stain, they're so soft and don't dry out and the full color range just arrived in Dubai and I'm obsessed. I've picked up 5 colors and I enjoy this formula much more than all my other lipsticks.

I got mine done at We Nails before the holidays. They did a pretty good job with mine, I got rose gold chrome. but after about a week, the chrome started to wear off in the corners of my nails. Regardless, my nails still looked great and I enjoyed them. They are a bit pricey tho, I paid 160 dhs. I believe Dollhouse does them as well but I haven't been there so I don't know how they are. I have read some reviews about them. How long ago was this? Because the price i saw was different... so I am wondering if they changed for 2017 I already had a set of acrylics, so I had just gotten a polish change, so it was 80 for that and 80 more for the chrome, so total 160. If I was getting it done fresh (no acrylics), it would have been 180 total for gel manicure plus the chrome.

Hi, I need suggestions for a good dermatologist, or an aesthetician. My husband has been having some intense breakouts lately. He visited a regular dermatologist but the medicines he prescribed did nothing. He has under the skin acne and it's quite large. So if anyone has an suggestions on good skin specialists, or tips on how to treat or who to see, that would be really helpful!

A friend went to Spirals in JVC and she looks really good, said it was British stylists and half price compared to places like Ted Morgan. The location is not really convenient for myself, so I'm still looking, no consistency in the salons here unfortunately. I had a good cut and color at Tang and Mora in JLT for 550 dhs. They have a few German hairdressers there. It was good and reasanoble priced, but I wasn't blown away. I've checked a few of the forums here and I've seen Spirals as a suggestion a lot. It's close for me, so I'm going to call and check them out, hopefully they do a decent job. And you're right, there is no consistency. ?
