I have seen Dr Jozsa today and I felt very comfortable with him.He was very nice and explained me things as the consultation go.I will be going to the end with him looks like. Hospital was nice and clean, staff was friendly. I probably wont go for the antenatal package and will pay as I go cos, It will be cheaper that way..If anyone has a question feel free to ask.. :)

Thanks again Divinebeet.. I have few visits done in the UK and few here.. So I assume I won't need much left. Some of the blood tests still can be done through my insurance. It's good to hear the consultation fee is a bit less after the initial one...I heard only good things about the dr. Jozsa..I just need assurance from him that he will be there for me once I am in labour. Cos he works with other clinics and hospitals and only Tuesdays at Al Zahra.. I will post here again once I see him, for reference

Divinebeet thank you for your answer. I want to try both the hospital and the dr,but I pretty much made my mind.I am 31 weeks pregnant already so,paying as I go might be better deal,i will compare..That was the reason I asked the question here.I know about the package price, I needed the price list for the rest to compare..I guess I can ask the hospital when I get there.. On the phone I was advised I would pay 24aed for registration and 425 aed for the consultation. I guess I will just go and take the whack on the first visit..

thank you all for the answers. our maid started with us 3 weeks ago. Our house is not fully furnished yet and there is not much of work in the house at the moment. She gets 11-12 hrs rest every night and gets couple of hours during the day.My husband works on shift and he doesn't get public holidays off. she gets 1.5 days off every week. and I am being selfish may be but I don't want her to be gone for 3 days in a row.. I guess I will offer her to pick xmas or eid..not sure..i need to talk to her.thanks again for giving me an idea.

My maid just mentioned her former employer used to have eid off.She is not Muslim so it sounded unnecessary.I would understand it if she was Muslim.I think one out of 3 eid days should be enough. So I wonder what you ladies do?

Hello ladies. I wonder if you have been or currently using any of the online grocery shopping stores, with delivery? I am thinking of doing this for certain items and would love to hear some feedback about the available stores. Thanks

I use them as 'I agree' and 'I disagree ' so I like using them both. I think it would be cluttered here if people were replying just to say agree/disagree.Unless they have more to add. That's how I see it though.

Hello to all mummies, and mummy to be's I am 16 week pregnant and moved here 2 weeks ago.We have insurance but doesn't cover maternity yet. So I will have to go private. I was thinking of going private clinics for scans and tests and deliver in a good, well equipped hospital. I keep hearing good things about Al Zahra and city hospitals. have you guys decided yet?Do you know the latest prices for thse two hospitals?

hi Ladies thanks for answers just wanted to add, I don't ming the idea of my maid staying out on her day off,I meant I can't think of any reason why some people don't want. I wouldn't dream off sending her to run for errands by foot or public transport,I have a toddler and baby on the way so I thought I might need help outside the house from time to time as well.. And I don't think she is desperate for money enough to work on her day off ,I just found out it could put us in trouble as sponsors so I want to know how else she could put us in trouble. If I know,i can make sure to be careful on those things.. thanks again :)

Hi, I have worked for TK.but I believe I can still be impartial. It is not world class service, but it definitely quite above the average. Better prices comparing to BA or EK. mostly never on time. On board entertainment and food gets better every year. No doubt on safety.. I see flying like a bit of lottery.sometimes things go perfectly smooth.sometimes you get all the unlucky things like bad food, delay, horrible neighbouring passengers... You never know.. As long as you get your destination safely, rest is small details..
