I think there is a time and a place and children should be restricted from entering such places... We have bars that don't allow people underage to enter (for obvious reasons), why can't the same be applied for fancy restaurants? Even at weddings, a lot of weddings the bride and groom will ask that the event is not child-friendly... I just wanted a quiet night out away from my kids for a change but i ended up getting stuck with some one else's kids instead...

You can always do Miracle Garden, although that seems to be over rated to me personally.. Also try any golf course, hotels and resorts, and if you are feeling up for the adventure, maybe Fujairah with a mountain background... or in Souk Madinat in an abra

Thank you so much! Not sure why my friends were not permitted to put toys and familliar objects in their crate, but this has put me much more at ease :)! I will be doing all the paperwork myself, so any advice from anyone who has flown with their pet is greatly appreciated :)

If I am going on a long journey, say more than 7 hours, I guess I would be forced to pay the charge fees, as I would like to be in a comfortable airline during the long journey. I think Emirates is already very pricey so adding this extra charge seems very off putting to me..

Hey Clessani, I've got an amazing hair loss treatment that helps makes the hair healthy and thick and it's natural. Simply boil some water with a handful of curry leafs (surprisingly the curry leafs do not smell like curry powder), and if you like you can add a stem of rosemary and allow it to boil. The water should become yellow or orange (depending on how long you leave it to boil), either way it can be used. Allow it to cool and after you've finished your shower just pour this water onto your head and let your hair dry. Your hair will not smell bad at all and you will notice a difference by the second or third time that you do this. I never shower without curry leafs now!

I did my masters at Wollongong, while some think its easier (it may be, I'm not sure), the workload is quite heavy. They are accommodating to an extent, but the workload in itself is extensive, but I do recommend them highly.

I think that the summer break is a well-deserved one for kids. After all, they do work excessively during the school year. That said, I think maybe doing some bed-time reading or some math problems after dinner once a week wouldn't hurt. I also think that if you want to help your children study and still enjoy the summer vacation, their brains should be stimulated in a more exciting way that would sort of coincide with their summer break. For example, instead of the boring old math text book routine for the little ones, why not take them berry picking and incorporate the math problems using the fruits, or for spelling, you could try to make it into a game so that it doesn't seem like the school-time routine, in whati s meant to be a break away from school..

You think so @FairyDust? But they haven't tried to attack my dog, just me and this article that I attached to my original post speaks of a lady and her mother going shopping and being attacked while they were walking on SZR..... I have to say, being attacked by birds is kind of funny..now that I think about it..

I'm in the Greens so there are birds everywhere! I try to avoid them as best as I can, but it seems that they are all hanging around the prime areas where my dog would go and do his business.. what boggles me is that there were 2 men standing right there and they didn't go near him! They're fiesty these birds, really feisty and scary!

I was walking my dog this morning when a bird started to dive at me and follow me all the way until I left the street! It just kept diving from one side to the other and seemed to be aiming for my head. It's not the first time it has happened to me so I went online to get some more informaton about the bird to see maybe if I have done something that may have upset it, as it turns out, I am not the only one experiencing this issue... Does anyone know what I should do? I can't walk my dog in peace as each place I walk him I seem to be getting attacked and the whole experience is terrifying! Found this on the web... I'm not the only one.. http://gulfnews.com/news/uae/society/why-myna-birds-attack-women-pedestrians-in-dubai-1.1544464

I can see what you mean @haim, but I for one would not be okay with my teenager's boyfriend or girlfriend tagging along on a family trip. I like to think that I was a teenager not too long ago :D and I know exactly what goes on even if teens are in separate rooms... even more so, teenage love is nothing more than a fling that will be nothing more than a memory (most likely an unpleasant one), so I would much rather have a quiet and peaceful family trip without the bad memories or the raging hormones... those are just my thoughts :)! Would love to see what others have to say though...

Went to London with my husband. It was our first time in London, we had two large, heavy suitcases and a large duffel bag as well. We ended up taking the public transit to our hotel, but we got lost and ended up getting off at the wrong bus stop. We didn't have any money so with a total of 4 suitcases and 2 duffel bags, we had to lug our way on foot back to our hotel, and to add to our first day in London, it was also cold and pouring! A nightmare, but needless to say, we still had an amazing time and loved our vacation in London!

Hi mks... I am not sure about property construction, but I am from Toronto and I can tell you that Richmond Hill for the most part is a nice area to live in. AS with any communities, there may be some areas better than others, but it is an over-all nice, child friendly area in my opinion :)

Hi Cosmos! If the wedding is an Arabic wedding that is not from the GCC region, you are generally expected to be as you are at any other wedding, with exception to alcohol really.. In weddings like Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian, Moroccan etc. they dance the night away and the weddings start late and end late.. Local (and I imagine most GCC weddings) are much quieter and calmer, as the genders are separated and not much dancing is involved :)!

I think it's a good idea... It's only 24 hours, so it's not too extreme and will also help teach them a lesson! I suppose another way that they could solve the problem is to confiscate the car or license for a week or so.. A good punishment should be something that is short-term, but memorable enough to be effective.

After a terrible experience with Umm Suqeim Vet, I went to Modern Vet - they are cheaper and so caring! They're along Wasl road.. I've also heard that Energetic Panecea (along the end of Wasl road) is really good too along with Dubai Kennel and Cattery, but I am not sure of their prices..... For me, we will be going to Modern Vet. The doctors are caring and their prices are decent

Hi Tash131 When I got married I had to do a medical test which was to make sure that my husband and I did not have any infectios diseases or genetic formalities that could be passed down to children. You can check this website for some info about it too.. http://www.khaleejtimes.com/nation/uae-health/pre-marital-medical-test-is-mandatory-in-uae

Hi GeorgiaPeach2! If you are referring to the brand sale, I have been.. It's nice, but I wouldn't say it's worth fighting over. I was actually reluctant and refused to buy sunglasses from there as some of the brands were unknown to me, and the before prices were ridiculously high, which seemed to be a red flag for me... There were boots that I really liked, a completely unknown brand to me, that I have never heard of - which doesn't bother me, but they said the before price as 3000 AED and after the sale it's 200 AED, so for me, it was the idea that they were a little bit flaky with their prices, Also, I could buy a decent pair of boots for that price over at Spring or Aldo, being aware of the quality of it.. If you're going for perfumes, I would say it's worth it though :)!

I personally did not grow up kissing my parents on the lipsies.. I know it's innocent and all, but I feel like children are vulnerable and susceptible to anything, and they might think that kissing on the lips is normal for anyone, not just for mom and dad.. and they may confuse said kiss, for an everyday greeting with any and everyone.. So for me personally, I would shy away from that.

I don't know about a nursery but there are a few indoor playgrounds that you can stay with your child at, and will likely meet other mums and babies at! I know of 2... cheeky monkeys and mini monsters

I LOVE RED LOBSTER! Especially their end-less shrimp season and their garlic biscuits mm so yum! Also, if you are looking for Arabic seafood I also recommend Ibn Hamido in Barsha, I believe it's an Egyptian seafood cuisine - but it's my absolute favourite!

Hi Fitzy! My friend is also in Al Ain she says that the fitness options are limited. I use Cobone for my fitness deals, good companies and reasonably priced. I always look at how many people bought the deal and check reviews if the company has any.. I think you will find a lot of deals for fitness in Abu Dhabi if you are willing to go there.
