Thanks for all the replies, I ended up using MyVietnamVisa as well. I was worried because there are so many sites offering the service and I didn't want to end up in a scam. So, did you all have a good time in Vietnam? Any off the beaten track places, restaurants, that you would recommend? Thanks a lot again!

I also have EU passport but from what I've read you can't get visa on arrivals at Vietnam airport. Did you have a tour package with a TO? Maybe that's why.

I was there some months ago, the beach was a bit crowded for my taste and the water looked very dirty. I stayed at the Sheraton Montazah, at the end of town, in front of the Monzatah Park that has a private beach that it's a bit better. Compared to other cities I've been to, there are not many things to do, but you can certainly spend some time at the library, go to the port for some fish restaurants, take a horse drawn carriage and even the tramway, if you are feeling adventurous. The Four Seasons has a good terrace for drinks in the evening and several restaurants and so does the shopping mall that is right next to it. Enjoy!

Since I moved to Dubai I changed my wardrobe, got long skirts and a lot of pashminas. However, it's true that there are people, mainly tourists, walking around with very short or revealing clothes. IMHO the government is the one that should be doing something about it, if they really care, but it won't be easy since they have been trying to position the UAE, and especially Dubai, as one of the most open-minded places in the Arab world and promoting a dress code will attract a lot of unwanted attention. I really don't think there's a solution to this problem, live and let live will be my answer and stop judging people for what they wear and start judging them for what they do.

We had a fantastic meal at Rondo locatelli a few months back with visitors who were most impressed. Food great, service very friendly. In the Entertainer too. Dont know what end of town you are but another 'not posh' one is the Italian at Ibn Battuta Gate hotel, sorry cant remember name but food was plentiful, a little noisy though. It's called Sicilia and the food is very good there. So far the best Italian I've tried is Roberto's at DIFC, and I think if you go during the w-end won't be too posh. Frankie's at JBR is quite good also, but a bit dark.

Wrong question, you should be asking what is not worth. All the little cities from Nice to Marseille are amazing, also Aix-en-Provence and Lyon are worth a visit. If you are not in rush, it's a lovely drive.

Thanks for the diet, I downloaded it already! I don't eat more than 3 pieces of fruit a day. Regarding the exercises, I do pilates one day, then gym or circuit training, then ballet, I swim. I try to mix otherwise I get bored very easily.

It's been 5 months since I started training regularly (5-6 times a week) and try to eat healthy and apart from minor changes, I don't see my body weight or measures getting any closer to where I'd like them to be, especially my tummy and legs. I do all kind of exercise, cardio, weights, pilates, etc. I drink alcohol only once a week and very little, maybe one beer or one glass of wine. I don't eat fry food, I'm vegetarian and I only eat sweets once a week, on my "free" day. I gave up on the last vice I had, that was mayonnaise last week. Obviously there's still something I'm doing wrong and I'm getting very depressed because I'm one month away from holidays at Cote d'azur, where everyone looks fantastic in their bikinis. Help please!!!

You can also fly from Nice (30 min from Cannes) to Paris and vice versa, with EasyJet either from Paris Orly or CDG.

Must do for A'dam the Van Gogh Museum, Rijtskmuseum, Anne Frank house, the red light district (if you are interested), Alber Cuyp market. I went to Antwerp and thought it was not nice at all. I'd suggest you check out Brugges it's much nicer than Antwerp, relaxed and touristic at the same time.

The ambience is lovely, the price like all the other places in Dubai, the food is regular, even though they use different ingredients, it's not great as I expected it to be.

It works! In the 30 days I lost 4kg, but was more impressed by the 12 inch fat loss on waist, lower stomach & hips :) You can watch level 1 in full on youtube & then I downloaded the other levels on itunes. You will need a mat or a rug under you for some exercises & definitely hand weights to add resistance. I now do her Ripped in 30 & Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism workouts. Did you do it every day for 30 days? Level 1 only or you alternate? I think it gets a bit repetitive, doesn't it?

This just keeps getting worse and worse in S3. Last night I went to the gym and the only working elliptical was broken. To my surprise, a lady still went ahead to use it. I had to go and tell her it was broken and that if she continued it was only going to get worse. After that I went to take a shower and someone had pee in there :( I was totally disgusted. What kind of people are living in this building? Can't wait for the contract to be over.

In Rome you'lll be docking at Civitavecchia, that's about an hour away from Rome, from there you can take the train. Although if you don't have a lot of time it might be better to take one of the shore excursions from the ship. In Malta, you'll be docked in Valleta. It's very easy to walk around the old town and it's a lovely town. What's your port in Spain? As jillp said, check how many formal nights you have so you know in advance what to pack. As you'll be cruising with MSC, bare in mind that the food will be mainly on the Italian side, so it'll be delicious ;) Enjoy your cruise

I was there a long time ago, almost 10 years ago. And I LOVED it. People in La Habana are amazing. Although you don't need to stay there more than 2 days. And the beaches are one of the best in the world, IMHO. I've been to almost all the island in the Caribbean and I'm yet to find beaches like the ones in Cuba, especially in the Cayo's. Food was not great though, but it didn't matter. You are going to have a great time if you end up going there.

I just went today with a friend from America. We had afternoon tea at the Sahn Eddar in the lobby and spent some time looking around as well. It was AED 380 per person with a glass of bubbly and you had to reserve with credit card and show confirmation to get it. There were 8 courses - berries with ice cream, tea sandwiches (7 per person), roast beef (2 slices), lemon sorbet with cucumber jelly, scones (2 per person), petit fours (I was stuffed by this time and only had 1 though I was offered more), and then little chocolates. My friend and I thought it was worth the price and enjoyed it! Were you able to go and check out the Skybar also? My mom's coming to town and I want to take her there for afternoon tea (although I have been there already and don't find it amazing at all) but I think 425aed it's a bit overpriced. TIA

Personally, I wouldn't go because it gets too crowded and I wasn't able to find anything worth buying.

Hi Beebers, Asado and Maya are quite different. Maya is Mexican cuisine and Asado is Argentinean. Asado is the best Argentinean restaurant in Dubai. Go there if you want to eat meat, lots of it. For the vegetarians they have some gnocchi and empanadas, a great Argentinean starter. They also have an extensive wine list, in case you drink alcohol. Try to go on a Sunday to see the tango show as well.
