Please! Dont ever even consider going to Premiers ! We registered and regrett it so far. They are just interested in payments. Wont pick ur calls Wont call u back. Their agents/officers are 'always' busy! They are never proactive. we had to keep calling up to ask them whats the status of our application. Although u give them the documents, you cannot be sure if they put them through. You call them 'again', after a couple of days and they would say......we are submitting it today. They guide u thru the entire process and after u clear off the first stage in the migration, they tell you....... you are not eligible to progress further! They really dont know what they do! The agents are NOT updated on what is the actual migration requirements required currently. they follow a list of pre-set documentation that was compiled 2 or 3 years back!!! Many of the applicants for Quebec ( Canada ) and Australia have pulled back. edited by Radical on 05/06/2012

I had issued post dated cheques to a company and want to stop them from encashing the next cheques, as Iam not satisfied with their services. What was promised was never given to us. I understand to stop a cheque I need to get a police clearance. My DH works in abudhabi, but we reside in Dubai. The cheque was issued from his bank account in Dubai. Can he authorise me to get the police clearance on his behalf or is it absolutely necessary that DH has to personally go down to the police station. What do they ask for to get a police clearance at the police station? What are the charges.. How many days does it take to get the clearance? I know those are a lot of questions, but if answered would definitely help others who come across the same predicament. i dont know if i want to go thru the entire trouble of filing a police clearance. we have asked them to hand over the cheques as we are closing our account/deal with them. But for them to cancel a cheque requires a whole lot of procedures and days, which may cross the date on the next postdated cheque. Iam sure thats a load of story told on their behalf.

Thankyou so much for that detailed post highland lass. Can't explain how much it helped me relax. Going to an new place where we do not know anyone or anything is a little scary. There is one more thing that I would like to know. During my previous(first) pregnancy, we had learnt that the foetus had a risk towards a genetic disorder. It was a detailed fetal scan at the Fetal Medicine & Genetic Center in Dubai, which consoled me that everything was fine. Does Al Khobar have such advanced medical facilities. Do they do tests like amniocentesis in hospitals there. Could you guide me on this, as this is very important for me. Would really really appreciate it, if you could help me in on this. Thankyou. Also is the medical insurance package included in your job package in Al Khobar, like they have it covered here in Dubai.

Thank you highland lass. Could you guide me on the best maternity and paediatric hospitals. and which primary schools are good. I know women cannot work in KSA, but is it so strict for highly skilled workers. Iam an MBA....and was wondering if I could put my qualifications to any use. Thanks DG, but nope I dont think we might be near the aramco compounds.

Is it compulsory to write the IELTS as a part of the application? DH has a Masters degree from UK while his bachelors isnt from UK. Although the medium of education throughout right from primary school has been english, do we still need to write IELTS as part of the process?
