I have been living and working in dubai for the past 5 years. on and off i travel back to Australia as my family lives there. I can assure you that there are few ways dubai is even cheaper than Australia. Online shopping can be trickier. Its hard to find well reputed online platform to buy stuff. I would strongly suggest you to choose whether Amazon on noon, preferably Amazon, as i buy from there all the time. The service is great and you receive your package earlier then expected date.
