It depends on the pharmacist it seems. I went to a local pharmacy and they said no but the I tried (croaked in fact) Boots and said I know its sometimes a problem but I know I need them again and could he please help and he did. I got some from another pharmacy once, then the next time they said nope. Generally they do help but if not, try another one. I have now found one that generally does, near the airport and I go there. Good luck!

Been here since December last year and not found one yet. Such a shame...hope you find someone good that you don't need a small mortgage for. Please let us know if you do :)

Sarahlou123, Thanks, having the number would be great, I have left it with a chap to look at but not sure he would be able to sort the problem. If not then I may give your people a call if I can get over to Dubai, thanks so much. Mrs b, being just 'mum' I get hand me downs, so out of warranty I'm afraid but yes, I hope the 6 is better as I and many others it seems have had problems that just make it a very expensive phone, nothing more as when things stop working like Wifi, thats it..thanks so much for your replies :)

Hi, thanks for that. Is Tecom the name of the company? Could you please tell me where it is as I might head on over if I can't find somewhere in Abu Dhabi. Thanks so much...

Hi, thanks for kind replys. I have just seen Little Impressions advertise for an event in Abu Dhabi, so I guess they are here already. Looks a very nice idea though. So, forgive me but I'm not sure how it works, if you don't haves licence per se but the organiser has got one, it's ok to trade under them? I'm sure I'm not going to be in the big league ever but it would be nice to sell some nice pieces. If you could operate under someone else's umbrella that would be fab :). I just would like to be flexible working somehow. Thanks again for all kind advice.

Thanks so much, it might be of interest but the request for details just comes up as 'not found' on the website contact page. I might give them a call. Thank you looks very interesting :)

Satwa area used to be amazing..I used to source all my bits there. Pop in the ships and you'd be surprised how much there is on offer..

Thanks for the information about local licence for each Emirate...nothing's ever just simple any more is it? It might not be worth doing then and I was getting excited??oh well! back to the drawing board. I will still find out a bit more to see if it's do-able and thanks for taking the time to reply fredrick1 and Busybee2, very kind.

Hi Fredrick1, Thanks so much for your advice. Good luck, with yours, I think that's a great idea. Mine may come to nothing but it's just hard when you have daily commitments that mean it's difficult to do full time work. There seems to be nothing job share or flexible so I thought I might do something. We'll see :) I'm not sure if being in Abu Dhabi means I can't use Dubai freezone but I'll look into it...thanks again for taking the time to reply. Bon chance!

Hello, this may have been covered before but I can't see a thread so apologys if it's already been done. Since leaving the UAE and coming back, I have noticed quite a few little businesses, small jewellery and handicraft type things. I love this kind of thing and it's so great to see. A friend of mine makes wonderful handmade cards and flower decorations and I was thinking of bringing them out here. Maybe adding a few bits of my own too that I source but it used to be difficult to start a business unless you had a sponsor and /or you were in a free zone, even on a small scale. Please could someone let me know if this has changed? Are you now allowed to just sell select bits for a little 'pin' money as I would dearly like to do this. Any advice would be fabulous as I wouldn't want to get into trouble just sell a few bits I love and hope others would too and also helping myself and my friend in the process as we have both got too many commitments for a full time job and it might be fun and sociable too. Thanks in advance for any info.
