Hello, i’m a single woman from the US living in Dubai and i’m looking to adopt internationally. As an American single woman in Dubai, am i allowed to adopt? I have contacted an adoption agency in the US and they told me i need to get an authorization for the case manager to be allowed to come and do the hone study, but then i also found out that there are organizations here that could do the home study such as HRIC. Then i would contact an agency to complete the paperwork with and find a child in a country that allows single parents like Georgia, Bulgaria etc. I’m not aware that there are any adoption agencies in the UAE, but i was told there is a support group for parents who have been through the process but i can’t find that group. Any advice, information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
