There is a Facebook group for Casa residents. The name of the group is Casa at Arabian Ranches. From what I understand, Casa consists of around 250 villas so the chances of finding someone who stays there on EW is somewhat remote. Therefore, I think you should get all the answers to your question on the FB group.FYI, I've been to Casa several times and I would definitely move there if I could afford it :)

A small correction to the previous post. Reem is not Arabian Ranches 3. In fact, it is a completely different community and will eventually comprise of townhouses, villas and apartment. Right now, there are 2 phases of Mira townhouses being handed over with built up areas of 2180 to 2687 square feet. A further 2 phases will be handed over around October-November. My understanding is that the townhouses are still in the snagging phase so they haven't been handed over yet but I'm not 100% sure of it. Since approximately 1,500 townhouses are expected to be handed over in the 4 phases, you might get a good deal if you shop around.

Hi, I used to live in The Views and loved it whilst I was there. If you need more info about the buildings, amenities, etc, have a look at www.thegreensandviews.ae. Good luck with your move!!!

Would say the Ranches is still as good as anywhere for kids and dogs! Loads of people leave and come back - this site is not as active as it used to be though. What was wrong with Perth - a dream destination for many? I second that. The Ranches is still an ideal community for families with kids and animals although you might want to consider Arabian Ranches 2. Although the community is still not complete, most of the amenities are in place and the villas are going for considerably cheaper than Ranches 1. Good luck with your move!!!

You might also want to have a look at flatreviews.com. They have reviews on most buildings and villas in Dubai which is particularly helpful since a higher rent doesn't usually equate to a better quality building or villa. Good luck with your move!!! :)

Hi, With a budget of AED 180 - 200K, you can rent a 3 bed townhouse in The Lakes or a 3 bed apartment in The Views (Golf Tower, Fairways, Panorama are the pick of the lot in my opinion). I've stayed in both communities and wouldn't have moved if my rents hadn't been hiked in both instances!! I don't know much about the other areas so can't help you there. Since December is a few months away, why don't you come over to Dubai for a few days and drive around the communities (and possibly do a few viewings) to get a general feel of the area.

Hi. You could consider Mira townhouses by Emaar which are down the road from Layan. A considerable number of villas will be handed over in August so you might get a good deal on them. The size and design is similar to the Al Reem townhouses in Arabian Ranches. Hope this helps :)

Hi. My personal preferences in Downtown are as follows: The Residences Old Town / Old Town Island 29 Boulevard South Ridge Unfortunately, I don't know much about the Marina so can't help you there. However, have a look at flatreviews.com. They have reviews of most buildings in the Marina. Hope this helps :)

Another factor your friend will have take into consideration is villas being rented on a nightly basis for parties. I've been to several parties on the fronds over the past few months and they're usually loud and go on until the wee hours. Of course, she would have no way of knowing if the neighbouring villas are available for short term leases but she needs peace and quiet and has a substantial budget, there are other options in the vicinity (Emirates Hills, Hattan, Jumeirah Islands)

Casa is part of Arabian Ranches 2. Whilst Arabian Ranches 2 is much smaller than Ranches 1, the upside is that the community centre is withing walking distance of all the communities, Moreover, the residents club is due to open later this month or early next month. I don't know much about the other communities so can't help you there. However, you can read reviews on flatreviews.com. They have tons of info on most communities in Dubai.

A new community called Palma in Arabian Ranches 2 is currently being handed over. Furthermore, there is a FB group for residents of Casa. They'll probably have answers to most of your questions :)
